I dunno, Laios seemed to figure out a decent enough direct way to solve the dungeon problem that i'm assuming is going to end with everyone mostly ok. And he's an idiot!

i don't think they were even wrong in treating everyone like idiot children. obviously, people keep going into dungeons and asking demons for wishes. no amount of warnings or education could ever change this. that they were correct and justified has nothing to do with how big of jerks they are in general, though.

Anyway, I guess this set of chapters probably isn't fully over yet but I think it really peaked with the Marcille stuff. I like Laios the monster cooking freak discovering a creative solution to dealing with a demon's desire due to having a unique perspective on apetite (even if its kinda cheap) but this exploration of the winged lion and Laios' darker side hasn't hit half as hard as the gang "confronting" Marcille the Dungeon Lord.

Is anyone else having issues getting the new chapter to load? I went and checked old ones and they work fine, but this new one just gives me a "click to retry" button. I've tried on two different devices.

Laios' sister is gonna be fine He certainly wants to save her, but if that was anywhere near being his deepest or greatest desire, then the demon wouldn't have been able to turn him into a monster so easily The guy's issues run deep, and part of that is a hefty dose of denial about what he really wants deep down

She deserves a rest definitely, but I would also love to see her revisit this world through the eyes of other characters (mostly Farlin, who we didn't get to spend a lot of time with). My secret hope would be a Namari focused, blacksmithing/metal-working/getting money(in the form of gold) manga, called Dungeon Metal.

I think Farlin will be "saved" but there will be a bit of a bittersweet twist to it. Going straight for "she's dead" seems like a weird development. Maybe she gets rooted to the dungeon or something.

The whole thing about how Falin can be resurrected by making everyone in the story eat a big ol serving of Chimera stew is just so perfect an outcome that I can't imagine it not happening. Wonder if the curse will be more about Laios being unable to stay with his sis or something instead of her not being saved.

This was my theory too, especially with the Demon's ability to sense desire and his personality fading, even if it's not Laios' biggest desire--it's the last thing the Demon remembers as being his desire.
