I mean it’s obviously not an iron that you’re going to do any serious work with but I keep a little crappy battery powered iron around for quick work that doesn’t need much precision. You don’t need the temperature controlled high quality station for everything.

Wait what, an SNES wireless controller is a thing? This just solved the wedding gift thing for my nerd rear end gay homies. Heck yeah. I can preload a box with Zelda. Done.

Yep 8bitdo got their start making wireless SNES controllers https://www.aliexpress.com/i/2255801033536925.html Keep in mind these are for the SNES, not PC

Got my little WLToys RC truck and it’s a bit of a beast. Haven’t had a chance to use it in a big open space but in the street in front of my house and inside it’s pretty awesome. I haven’t driven an RC car in years so I’m sort of poo poo at it but the speed is really impressive. There is one problem, and I’ve just read it’s standard with them: the diffs aren’t locked (wheels can spin independently) but they are bloody tight and if you turn one wheel the other will turn with it unless you stop it. Seems like an easy enough fix, mostly just cleaning up the flashing, video if anyone is interested.

The seller page seems to be deleted, it'll be interesting to see if you get refunded or if aliexpress says that you should have checked the photo reviews. The one you got is the exact same as the one in the customer photos.

Not so fond of the analog sticks but for playing snes and gameboy games it's been fantastic. I found Amazon was cheaper than their Aliexpress store, especially once you added on the stupid UK tax poo poo.

Following up - if you're looking for a replica the flat repros by 8bitdo are great, but if you get one with analog sticks get the extended hand grip model Your hands will ache pretty quickly otherwise

That is excellent advice and the Pro 2 in particular has a ton of extra features like programmable macros and such, but I will also say that if you find the right store you can still get ahold of the original design from before the C&D, and the novelty might just outweigh the ergonomics. Plus you can slip it into your pocket a lot more easily

L and R especially. It's great for 2D stuff, though, all the face stuff is solid. I have a pair of the original SN30 BT controllers (one SNES, one SFC) and adapters for my SNES and my SNES Mini and it's great. They really nailed the feel of them.

It's only 20 bux? It's a good deal. Find an used gauge to make it steampunk yourself. Maybe some kind of push spring latch.

Arrive at a friend's house and yell "where's the fire?" When you get told there's no fire reply that you've brought your own and open the container. Keep on doing this long after the joke got staler than the liquor you're carrying. It's still a good joke damnit!

I've no doubt those 8bitdo controllers are the bee's knees, but they're kinda pricey. They're like, $50 for a 2.4ghz wireless PC controller. I'm sure they're worth it for people logging a lot of hours, but I don't use mine nearly that often. Like, less than 50 hours a year probably. I was really hoping for something in the $8 to $20 range. (Especially since I might end up buying four if they're decent. I've got a fairly full suite of xbox 360 controllers but the wireless receiver just broke and those dpads are atrocious.) I should specify I'm looking for controllers for a PC, not a SNES, and I suppose they don't need to be similar to the SNES model either. Just something fairly universal with a decent dpad.

I get what you're saying but it's no fun playing on a controller that feels like poo poo. 50 bucks is a good price for a controller that feels good and responds well. [edit] for PC gaming I use an Xbox controller, works great. You can also use a ps4 or 5 controller as well.

Yeah, I used to use a Switch Pro, but switched to a DualSense. I did not expect to like the Dualsense nearly as much as I do, it immediately became my favorite controller.

I have like 5 full sized controllers in my house. What I want is a Xbox style controller with physical switches in the back, so I can switch to 1=xbox licensed controller 2=PS licensed controller 3=switch licensed controller 4=bluetooth1 5=bluetooth2 and I pair to different Geforce Now boxes.

I got one of those nintendo style 8bitdo ones, to use on my computer. and one downside is that the buttons are not the same as an xbox one i guess? So that in games the tutorials and quick help show the wrong button, so I i dont know what im supposed to press.

If you hold the SF30 pro side by side with a real SNES controller, they feel almost identical. Naturally with the internal battery, the SF30 is a little heavier but that's hardly a bad thing. They are astonishingly good quality, despite being sold through a market that often pushes trash.
