Pissed that I was this close to flipping KD for a pick and or players a few days ago, just because I don't think I have enough to win it all and Dame's likely gonna be my keeper for next season. On the off-chance anyone wants him now lol, make me an offer I guess

Welp, Giannis out again, half the roster DTD. Man, maybe next year we should consider double round-robin + two-week finals. It's looking like Pop Dog & I will have spent almost the entire season top 3, but will both get knocked out in the QF cause of unfortunate timing on injuries, etc. Ah well.

I do not have the stones for a KD experience after Steph but it is tempting.

i like my team this year but i had a like 3 week period with cj,bron and lamelo dead and i won every single week cause my opponent had their worst scoring week of the season. im still 2nd lowest points scored against i think, with like every other top team having thousands more points scored against.

i stayed very lucky right up until the last 2 weeks basically

Lmao I loving hate this site's waiver system so much. I put a bid in for Zion, thinking I might even use him as my keeper. Even though I had a space on my roster, an open spot for both PF and center, the claim didn't process because it tried to place Zion on my IR instead and I guess Trey Murphy was temporarily not marked injured (not sure since he was Thursday morning--this is my best guess mind you, it doesn't say anything except the claim failed because I had an invalid IR).

I think for my own sanity we need to figure something out next season for waivers.

Chronicles

Yeah it won't let you make a transaction if you already have or it will cause you to have an illegal lineup (too many players, too many players at a certain position or a non-injured in your ir)

Not sure what personal reason Wiggins has to stay out so long but it must be pretty serious. Wiggins and Doncic being out will make this week tough!

Maybe Jimmy will play Nickleback really loud and psyche everyone up.

IIRC the problem occurs when you have someone on your IR who isn't legal at the time of the waiver process.

So like, if a guy who was DTD and on your IR legally at the the time of the waiver claim became Healthy before the waiver was processed, it would block your winning bid. Same way you can't add a player that's available if you have a healthy dude on IR.

Agreed that it's quite hosed up and favors rosters that are already lucky enough to not have players who bounce from Healthy to DTD whenever you have back-to-back etc.

Can waivers be set to process just once per day at a fixed time? As it is now it's at least 3 different times, and it's awkward to check if your roster is legal in the hour leading up to the waiver.

(Huh thought I posted thus but it was saved in the app)

I appreciate that but it wasn't forgetfulness :( I added Watford thinking he was F/C (which he is) but in Fleaflicker he's PF/C; the 4 pm games had just started so I couldn't swap players around to make him fit. Dieng was my only streamer so I screwed myself. Thanks for putting it right.

Ah, that makes sense, yeah the worst is when someone gets a late scratch before tip-off and it locks the player into the roster slot so you can't swap them out for a waiver pick-up.

Gonna be close this week, I'm certain I'll have several more noteworthy scratches due to load management and B2B and whatnot. At least it can't be as bad as last week (Giannis 0/3 games played, Ingram 2/4, a few others missed 1+).

Good luck rivetz! :swish:

Unfortunately from what I can tell in the settings is there is no way to change anything with waivers other than to lock players after games starts which we could go back to but only allowed a few hours a day of waiver claims.

Yeah, it's a bummer. It's tough finding a happy middle ground between rewarding consistent long-term performance and giving teams that were injured/inconsistent the first half of the season a fair shot at making a run in a bracket.

I fiddled around with a double-elimination or triple-elimination setup where it would have started the best teams in the top bracket (i.e. can survive a loss without being eliminated from a shot at 1st), then the others already slotted into the "gotta win out" bracket tiers. But that just introduces tons of byes, or weeks where one bracket waits for the other to "catch up", so it didn't pan out.

Anyways, I'm barely holding onto to a sliver of hope versus Saruman, I'm up to 7(?) DNP between Collins, Rozier, and Oubre this week and my streaming choices have been awful. I think Saruman got as much from one night of Bagley then I did from like 4 different dudes.

Maybe we have a draft, and everyone votes for who they think are the best teams 1-10. Then we repeat that process every week. At the end of the season we tally up the votes and see who wins.

Works perfectly for a 12-team league to do it twice per season, or an 8-team league to do it thrice.

Could also have 12 teams in 2 divisions of 6, round-robin for 5 weeks, 2 weeks of playoffs, and re-draft. That also gets 3 full fantasy seasons into one NBA season.

Each re-draft is a special episode of BTW(DQ), where Rick live analyzes the picks.
