Speaking of crowd plants: What was the deal with the 2 Undertaker fans in the front row during the Taker/Kama feud? Was that ever supposed to be anything more than it was?

I think they were just supposed to be Undertaker fans who Kama beat up for heat. Rumour on the schoolyard was one of them was Shane McMahon.

One thing I always wanted to know and could probably google - has WWE or anybody ever tried to open some sort of pro wrestling museum or a physical hall of fame?

I know they do something like it at the wrestlemania access but WWE strikes me as a company that never throws anything away and surely people would pay to look at like the smackdown fist or Kane's mask in a display case. The amount of money they spend on stupid poo poo and the stuff you already have in storage you'd think it would be a no brainer. If there already is one of these please feel free to call me a clown

They have an entire warehouse full of poo poo from their history but seemingly no plans to display it.

I remember they had some stuff displayed behind glass in WWF New York when it still existed. And I went to Titan Towers in like 1999 and they had some championship belts and statues around. And stacks of the Owen Hart memorial issue of the magazine everywhere.

They have thought about doing it at various times but have realized they would lose a stupid amount of money on it/haven't been able to get Universal to just give them a space at their Orlando Park so it never happens.

Surprised WWE hasn't tried to do a traveling exhibit. I don't think old WWE poo poo would draw the same numbers as Tutankhamun or Jim Henson but I think there would be enough interest to make it profitable.

A pop-up sort of thing could work in cities where it would do well for a week or so before people realized the minimum effort put in and by that time they're in Cincinnati.

Honestly the fact that Universal sells a bunch of WWE merch and has billboards in the Citywalk, but AEW has a physical presence there and can't sell anything is very funny to me

There used to be a store/"museum" in (I believe) Quakertown, PA. It was basically like a wrestling merch/memorabilia shop + a separate part that was just various things picked up over the years, like a signed Jimmy Hart jacket or Vader singlet. It was nice and quaint and free, but I think it's gone now.

New Japan had a traveling exhibit over the last year, but was (at least for me) tricky to find information on dates/times/etc. I think there was also one for a short time in early 2020 or in 2019, because Meltzer visited during a Wrestle Kingdom trip, and that time also had some AJPW items that Dave almost got in trouble touching.

Bit of a strange question. My wife and I have settled down to watch Wrestlemania 8 on the network this evening. During the establishing arena shots, where Gorilla and Brain are previewing the show, it’s taken me 36 years on this Earth to realise that they are clearly talking in front of a green screen. What I do not understand is, if they are not there, are they doing the comms in the studio afterwards? But the PPV is live, so where are Gorilla and Brain doing comms from?!

I think the New Japan stuff was just in their shop, but the Baba exhibit - which had like robes from his JWA days, the original Triple Crown belts and the JWA titles he ended up holding onto when that company folded, and stuff like he and Motoko’s bowling balls since their favorite date night was to go bowling - was either a pop-up exhibit or a temporary exhibit in a regular museum.

as far as i know it wasn't green screen, they were legit in the announcer's booth; only thing was the Hoosier Dome was a football stadium, so they were very far away from the ring both in distance & height.

Sting is 64 years old and still able to, within reason, wrestle decent length matches with a moderate workrate. Who is the oldest wrestler who is still able to work at this level without it being immediately obvious that they're largely immobile?

MJF had nine matches in 2022, Sting had seven.

Sting's seven matches were all tag matches with 1-3 partners.
MJF's nine matches include two short DQ/countout losses and the Casino Ladder match he came out at the very end of, which you could argue lowers the count to eight, but still more than Sting.

Adding up the full match lengths of Sting's seven matches totals 1h21m1s.
MJF's nine matches total 2hr25m35s. If you take out the Casino Ladder match, it's still 2 hours and 11 minutes.

That's not very much wrestling at all for MJF, but it's more than Sting by pretty much any metric.

Was it his experience in WWE that gave CM Punk a massive chip on his shoulder and made him paranoid that the whole world was against him, or has he always been like this?

Back in Ring of Honor, Punk took offense to a fat man wrestling in a shirt and treating it as a joke because who gets mad about a wrestler working in a shirt, and Punk yelled at that disrespectful Kevin Steen.
