Twice is happenstance. Denji completely ignoring all the signs a third time starts to look dumb, and not in the ways he's normally dumb. I'm kind of hoping at this point, given that Nayuta all but said that Asa's a devil, that Denji's playing extra dumb because he figures he's not going to wreck his chances with a girl that's apparently into him by admitting he realizes what she's trying to keep secret.

Asa yelled “Denji spinal cord sword” before, and absolutely nothing happened. Denji might just think she shouts weird goofy stuff for no reason every now and again. Denji was there when Asa turned an aquarium into a spear and killed the eternity devil. But he was also heavily distracted playing with penguins so might not have noticed.
