late for mri chat, but aluminum does some fascinating stuff in an mri magnet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liDjr439-fY in one of the labs i worked in we had copper tubes that went through an old nmr magnet (just the big field, none of the rf imaging stuff), and it was fun pulling them out. the harder you pull the harder it pulls back, feels like you're pulling excalibur out of the stone or some poo poo.

i remember having to do some work on a piece of equipment nearby with some hex keys. i had to be super careful not to get too close to the field otherwise the hex key would get sucked in. it was a long time ago and i think i even felt the field pull like a little bit and i was like "whew better bring it back some" we couldn't get beryllium copper tools because they were afraid of beryllium (it is some scary stuff tbf).
