What are the chances that Sony will eventually sell some of the UHDs from that 30th Anniversary collection separately? I only really want SLC Punk and Synecdoche, New York and I already own a couple of the others, but people on ebay are asking exorbitant prices for single discs from that set. I'm guessing if they sold all but two movies from that set separately those two would be the ones they wouldn't release.

If anyone's been on the fence about getting the Fun City Editions discs going OOP remaining on the VS site (Primetime Panic, Radio On), this weekend is the last time to get them. Regardless if they sell out or not, they're being taken off the VS site permanently after the sale is over.

First time in my life seeing 4K UHDs at a thrift store - a stack of 7 comic nerd movies that i didn't even have one of at the St. Vincents. Guy who worked there called out that he didn't think they were gonna last long, and that he just put them out 2 hours prior. Dang. Might not be my genre but that helps round out the 4k select a bit. More people need to give away their stuff so i can get it for cheap imo.

I like the format on paper but not so much actually having to find a place to put it. Right now I have it sideways in my vinyl/blu ray shelf but I think I might be just display it standing up behind to my Godzilla figures I have even tho they’re not in the room with my tv.

As someone with the physical media disease (records, CDs, books, blurays, etc.), I just can't stop. Ever since I went region free, I've been on a Hong Kong and Asian action/horror cinema kick, buying up all the UK releases of these films I can. I've gotten to the point where I own multiple copies of films, like the Criterion and Eureka! "Dragon Inn" because I want more bonus features. Region free has basically made vast swaths of Chinese, Japanese and Taiwanese (some Filipino and Indonesian) movies available in 4k that I used to have to watch on lovely rips. I thought I was kind of twilighting my movie collecting days as the US-distributed movies I wanted to buy slowed to a trickle. But now I can't stop.
