Guy just reedits the entire movie to not make it look like dogshit lol. you could do the same thing for glen or glenda. the movie has some cool stuff and a clear enough message so that if you go off your memory of it you can trick yourself into remembering a good movie. not one that is noisy both auditory and visually in a way that makes it actively unpleasant to sit through

Just watched House. The editing absolutely killed it for me. It was silly and fun and I'm glad I watched it, but it also gave me a headache and there's no way I would ever watch it again lol

Just watched the wrong guy and agreeing with the posts above, I love a dumb comedy that is actually full of jokes even if some of them don’t land. Got the most laughs out of the small town banker and his rival

anyways, wasn't exactly sure what to expect going in beyond "Japanese Evil Dead II" and while it was kinda like that idk if there's really anything comparable to how surreal and almost artistic is. the cheesy SFX and bizarre cuts and camerawork turned out mostly really charming and i both laughed out loud and said "jesus christ" at various points, though it never felt like tonal whiplash. the score was really good too. i was talking with a cinephile friend of mine and he asked if it was as bewildering as Holy Mountain was when we watched it and i told him that if Holy Mountain was Frank Zappa, House is Bjork, and the more i think about that the more it feels correct. i guess the beginning could've been more straightforward and a few of the wild edits didnt feel like they added anything beyond being disorienting but this was a pretty kickass film and i definitely wanna rewatch it in the future. solid 8/10

Juts finished The Wrong Guy, it's so stupid, I love it. Everyone is just saying the dumbest poo poo all the time and playing it completely straight lmao The main cop guy drags, but dave foley, jennifer tilly and the killer totally make up for it. I had never even heard of this movie, great pick!

House was very goofy and silly but I didn't really have much fun with it. The set design was cool. The special effects looked cheap; I imagine that was intentionally done to infuse the setting with some charm. I liked the practical effects and the setting itself enough. Kung fu was neat. I kinda felt bad for Mac but couldn't care less about the others. I could go on about the editing but I really don't think I could say what hasn't been said already. I give it a poob out of ten
