moderately annoying

tilting off the face of the earth watching my team's flag carrier repeatedly run directly into our cap point while the enemy has been camping it for 20 minutes and our flag is halfway across the map

just baffling to me that the modern shooter player hasn't met the same developmental milestones that toddlers have. is this what fortnite is doing to kids

Whose fault is it that I have spent like ten hours grinding Lynels in TOTK instead of actually working towards beating it? The game's, obviously, for telling me I need 15 Lynel guts to fully upgrade the Soldier set, and 9 sets of horns from each Lynel type to fully upgrade the Barbarian set, and never dropping the guts

If it isn't a silver Lynel you're wasting your time. I mean you're already wasting your time but any other lynel has like a 5% drop rate. The lynel coliseum or duping is your best bet

I don’t think they’ll ever fix the dupe glitch in that giant tunnel so that’s your best bet

also I don’t know that upgrading any set is really worth it beyond it being easy. just eat some defensive food and lmao as all attacks only do like 4 hearts in damage.

Fully upgraded armor is way better than that, and then you can use food to buff your offense instead

So that you can eat offensive food instead, saves on durability having to hit fewer times. Same reason spin to win is always the best option and the master sword is best reserved for breaking rocks.

Thing is that there's a couple sets that are so good at level 3 that you're down to like half a heart per hit. Level 4 is just pure madness

the P90 in Battlebit is loving incredible I’ve died to it in so many frustrating ways and I now I understand why. seems to outclass rifles very consistently under 30m in most of the ways that matter, though the SG/M4 having low enough recoil to be the only weapons that work well in full auto with a medium (the SLIP special only 2x one in the game) is also very nice

I ran into a lot more defensive food than I did offensive food (though if you’re glitching who cares) so my armor set I rolled with was mostly attack up stuff

I didn’t realize the 4 level sets negated that much damage, I was already so impressed by the couple of 2/3 upgraded items I had that I didn’t bother with more and went right into fashion mode with dyes. guess I need to go farming.

does the armor set bonus stack with the food buff? is it just giving more scaling than the level 3 food buff? I just assumed that since the attack armor just replicated the attack buff the defense would do the same hence just wearing the harder to find food for me.

I dunno man I was swimming in bananas the whole game, 4 of those will get you to the max with one spot for something to extend the duration

The armor bonus from food is, iirc, basically just +24 armor when it's at max. So if you're at level 3 on one of the beefy sets it'll push you to the point where basically nothing damages you anymore. The attack armor I'm not sure if it stacks, by end game everything either dies instantly or has so much health you can't really tell if your bonuses are helping at all.

The frog suit is probably the best balance imho, it's super easy to upgrade even up to max, it's free from a quest line you'll absolutely be doing anyway, has way better defense than you'd think, and it has a hidden bonus where you'll keep the wet status longer which doubles the damage of Zora weapons. By longer I mean a LOT longer - full suit is a boost from 45 seconds to 3 minutes, which means you can just use splash fruit instead of having himbo fish around getting in your way

edit - also, of course, you'll no longer slip off of things you're climbing in the rain
