I don't remember hearing about that, and I would presume the setups they are playing at are all default and not modded. but it would also not surprise me at all if that happened during some side money matches in hotel rooms on people's personal setups. it'd certainly be one of the more mundane things to happen at evo

It's a lot more pronounced a delay than that given in many cases people are buffering inputs behind other moves, but it's there, especially if an attack input is fairly long or distinctive. For example: while this guy's not playing Zangief, Zangief does have a special that requires a full 360-degree motion. That's not just gonna take some time to input relatively speaking, but your opponent's gonna be able to see it coming out of their peripheral vision before they get any other visual feedback. It's most likely paranoia and scraping for tiny advantages, but it's not the dumbest thing in the world.

I was impossibly good at screen cheating cod2 on 360. They'd eventually start running around having to look at the ground because I was so good until I figured out where they were just from the ground tiles.
