Are there inconsistencies with the amount of payout per impression? Don’t get me wrong it was sips idiotic to quit their job without any knowledge of what they’d get. But I’m wondering if Musk juiced the numbers for some of his right wing buddies and that caused people to think they’d be getting a lot more than they actually did.

I killed my twitter account just before elon took over I don’t know even know how I would prove it. Maybe they sent an email. But I don’t even care about getting on bluesky or any other social media replacement anyway because I broke my addiction. Now it just sounds kind of “ah not that poo poo again” when thinking about joining bluesky or threads or whatever.

It's not controversial to be against using twitter at this point, but I don't fully get why people are acting like we've already hit critical mass on twitter being lovely when that's clearly not the case. Like, choosing a random person who probably isn't a total piece of poo poo, Malala is still actively using twitter. I doubt she thinks elon's management and opinions are good, she probably just blissfully doesn't think about him at all. People are largely unhappy with musk's management and angry about bad people posting bad content all over twitter, but I don't think the association as the 'Nazi site' has sunk in yet. It doesn't help that it's still a hugely popular platform and most of the prominent people who spread news and opinions rely on that infrastructure. Until something else definitively takes over the microblogging social media space you're still going to see tons of people in all sorts of media positions using it.
