I think it helps that 3/4 members of the cast already know each other, so we don't have to see an extended period of them establishing the group dynamic. Usagi's literally crashed into their little group and he's the cause of the friction, while still being entertaining. Also I was ride or die for Jodio and Dragona ever since their very first scene. That helps a lot.

Regardless of what happens with the rest of Jojolands, it had an amazing first chapter. Maybe the strongest in all of Jojo.

One thing I want to point out about J9J9 so far is that Araki has been going above and beyond his usual standard on building and establishing tension. These 8 chapters we've gotten so far are more tense than most of Jojolion combined.

P 9 has been kinda mid for me so far, guess it's those starting chapters of a monthly series blues but I didn't care about the cat fight at all and am mostly just wantin them to get on w this lava rock business already. Jodio's cool but I don't rate most of the cast yet, need a lil more time w em; Dragona's done nothing yet, Paco's just kinda there. Jodio better watch out for his total pagetime if Usagi's gonna be the Polnareff of the part the way he's threatening to be. The way Rohan had more cool in his pinky than all of them put together lol

Anyway what I got from the whole lava rock test is that the items don’t teleport or anything, they physically move to the owner of the rock through the unconscious actions of people(even stands). So what happens if it’s physically impossible for the item to move? Like in a locked safe at the bottom of the ocean or something
