I still watch overlord so maybe I need to vibe with the premise I have been collecting the deluxe editions of a Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. never read it before but remember it being recc'ed a long time ago. the stories are wholesome and the back story starts to be revealed at a slow deliberate pace

i like the show but I prefer the vibe of the konosuba LNs, partly because the jokes work better in writing but also the anime is kinda more general comedy where the books go a little harder on the rpg and fantasy parody and dumb worldbuilding. theyre also, really short and episodic even by LN standards so theyre easy reads, if you want to try konosuba in a different format I recommend it
