I'm sad of Blue Giant not playing anywhere near me. My local theater showed the trailer for it multiple times so I thought for sure I'd get it but nope! The closest theater is about a 70 minute drive away from here and I already did like 4 hours of driving today so I definitely didn't wanna do more of that on the weekend. Alas.

The city is sending crews out everywhere to unplug drains from all the fallen leaves washing up and covering storm drains. I drove down at least 5 streets where the water was almost up to peoples front doors. Its supposed to keep raining until Wednesday.

I'm in new england and I just hope the leaves start falling pronto before it gets much colder, almost none have fallen yet and they're still green, basically none have begun turning fall colors yet. the halloween ice storm of 2011 was traumatizing. a coworker of mine had every single tree, EVERY SINGLE ONE, in his neighborhood come down, and basically every telephone pole and power line too. just an incredible disaster

no thats fine. i like higurashi. the weird jokes in the original higurashi vns are fitting for something made by one guy to sell at comiket who never expected it would ever get big. i dont like, any of the various higurashi side media, or higanbana, and most of his non-wtc writing in general ranges from boring to actively awful

Rewatched FLCL over the weekend on a whim and after finishing it I realized that the last time I watched it was ages ago in my 20s before some life-changing stuff. I guess on some subconscious level I figured it was time to do that again since I have some big life-changing stuff on the horizon. Under these circumstances it definitely feels like one of the more appropriate series I could have picked
