I know a few people have asked for their LP Archive entries to be removed themselves and baldurk has obliged, but AH is the only one I know of where it was removed by fiat. Though it wouldn't surprise me if baldurk's iced a few more peoples' stuff if they also got perma'd for gross poo poo.

I listened to GRRM's interview with Kevin Smith a while back, and GRRM sounds like he finds no joy in writing novels. Whenever George talks about working on TV or in some other kind of collaborative environment, he gets animated and sounds passionate. When Kevin talks about the writing process and it moves to George actually sitting down and writing, George has much less to say. He just seems like far more of a social personality than I'm used to with sci-fi/fantasy authors.

He was always a TV writer at heart and just wrote books because he couldn't get a show made. Getting what he wanted killed whatever motivation he had and now he's trying to just do what he wants but with this albatross of not finishing his story around his neck.

The moment he realized a TV show was likely to happen he stopped writing and only finished Dance as part of the show's launch. He's the inverse of the fanfic writers, he stopped writing the moment he had a show and others to do the work for him.
