I think he should hit the baby with a secondary explosion that makes the baby itself detonate in about seven different multi-colored explosions like some of the better giant robots. Also I guess the babies screaming soul amalgam body can be turned into babies and explode too. Bakugo is extremely strong, he can handle a kindergarten or two.

honestly, we're now in spitting range. you can do it, horikoshi. end the comic on ch. 420. also if he was gonna do this he really should've just killed hawks. as is i would rather have seen stain lmao e: also i like this chapter generally but man horikoshi has never really drawn bakugo's stuff in a way that was super visually clear to me and here at this important finale i just have absolutely no idea what is going on in the action visually. i can follow it easily enough via the dialogue but the panels did not make a ton of sense together for me. took a while to decipher the first bit before howitzer impact. having said that i'll also add that i really like the "i only need one quirk" line which is a nice little payoff to the idea that true mastery of one's quirk (one's selfhood, really) arises not from raw will or force but from learning to adapt to and then master your own unique strengths and weaknesses. especially nice after dabi sort of undercut the early similar bit with phosphor and also given that everyone else in the finale has at least 7 quirks lol. hang on i just realized this fight is sword logic vs bomb logic but the bomb guy is the sword. Evil baby has been punched and is currently being bullied. Evil baby can't do his bullshit because bakugo is too much of a sweaty nerd to be grabbed and quirk removed because his sweat is explosions and AFO didn't steal a "I can grab explosions" quirk. On top of that, Hawks factor giving AFO the finger as he steals the stolen quirk factors to make some sort of quirk factor harem in AFO's head is just

I always think it's funny horikoshi gave two of his vague protagonist trio fire and explosion powers when he really can't draw either in a compelling or clear way. remembering the utterly incomprehensible shoto vs dabi chapters
