e: ^^^ Of course. Its one of my top 3 favourite anime of all time with FMA Brotherhood and Konosuba. Took my cake out to cool down. One side of it went flat. So little energy left that I cant even be mad. Compact cake for everyone.

I figured it’s pretty much of the level of that fox girl (maybe a tad more) However they both totally go for it, and are great watches for it. That being said, if you absolutely can’t stand that, then I totally get passing on them. I will go to bat for them being great shows though.

Comiket was fun but I made a couple of mistakes. First I didn't go straight to the industry booths so I missed out HI3 merch, second I picked the second day which had less circles doing stuff I liked and this I should of flown in a day earlier cause even though I got 8 hours of sleep doing Comiket the day after doing a 10 hour flight is super rough

I just finished watching Tokyo Godfathers which I picked as my New Years movie. It was great, really sweet, and while it's still 15 mins or so away from New Years for me, I hope it's sweet for all of you too.

finished zegapain. i really liked that, definitely one of my fav mecha shows. very odd choice to revive for a sequel though, it feels like it's fully mined its ideas by the end.

Started BNA last night. It looked cool but the story and characters kind of feel... I dunno, hollow? Flat? Wasnt good enough to stick with. Moved on to Keijo. I cant decide if this is the most absurd thing Ive seen. Probably wont finish it but its managed to get a few good laughs out of me so I cant say its time wasted. Also while searching for the show I learned that Portugal loved the anime so much they tried to make it a real life competition. Dirty Pair or Bastard will be the next one I move on to.

Tales of Woe posted:finished zegapain. i really liked that, definitely one of my fav mecha shows. very odd choice to revive for a sequel though, it feels like it's fully mined its ideas by the end. there's theoretically something interesting you could do with the idea of exploring how people living in physical space and people living within the simulation engage with each other as time goes on, since the original show only very briefly touched on the idea of people who actually want to stay in there for their own personal reasons and how with access to more resources the limitations of the simulation are ones they can feasibly expand beyond, but i'm not sure that's at all the idea they'll bother going for. the zegapain "movie" was already 80% just an exact rehash of the show but with an awkward prequel meta framing that didn't really mean anything or expand on much (the other 20% was characters who died before the show appearing to say "i'm a character who died before the show. oh no a laser beam i'm dead") The Colonel fucked around with this message at 20:57 on Dec 31, 2023 |
