“Archive commentary for Conan the Barbarian by John Milius and Arnold Schwarzenegger” First Conan is a classic and has one of the best musical scores. Second film is less good, though I haven’t watched Destroyer in a while.

So many great preorders announced this week Criterion: La Haine 4K Picnic at Hanging Rock 4K Werckmeister Harmonies (plus Bela Tarr's first film Family Nest as a bonus feature!) I Am Cuba Dogfight Severin: Burial Ground 4K Dracula, Prisoner of Frankenstein Bloodmoon I might just get Werckmeister for now and upgrade La Haine and Burial Ground later

Indicator finally announced the 4k for The Demoniacs, my absolute favorite Jean Rollin film. 4/22, three cuts of the movie. Essential purchase for any Rollin fan, as are Indicator's other JR 4ks. The Nude Vampire is the other Rollin title coming out that day.

Just got a notification that VS has some delays in terms of receiving stock and due to the large volume of orders, "shipping may be carrying over into the month of February." They're hoping to ship subscriber orders around mid-next week, with non-subs going out after that Considering I've had two snowstorms in a week, definitely not gonna complain about not having boxes stuck out in ice or giving a mailman extra hell coming up my hill. But yeah, just a heads up for people that were curious about the timing

Since the price has been reduced somewhat, decided to upgrade my copy of Southern Comfort by pre-ordering the upcoming VS 4K set. The film deserves better than the barebones release it got in the UK previously anyway. Considering how good Second Sight's work is, it really is a surprisingly barebones release from them.

Finished the first half of the Lost picture show box set today. Pretty cool so far even if the film's aren't the best. The Last of the American hoboes was really neat tho

One offered to take me riding about ten years ago, but I just couldn't. Too fat to clamber up/off a train, health bullshit, and even with an escort I was afraid of being a tourist. Kinda wish I had gone.

The hobo alley Christmas scene was loving wild. That set is exactly the kind of weird cultural detritus I just can’t get enough of. The documentary Against the Grain was a lot of fun too.

Got my Dellamorte set from Severin and drat this is nice. I felt a little guilty for spending extra on the frivolous poo poo, but these things are heavy duty and well made. The slip is thick, the booklet isn't cheap and thin. The pins are huge and have their own case. The snowglobe is heavy enough to be a weapon. A really nice quality set.
