You guys are actively not comprehending the meaning of "dark patterns". Dark patterns are a system of manipulative tactics designed to encourage addictive and irresponsible behavior in a susceptible population. Gacha, FOMO, free casino chips, etc. I know the wider world sees addicts as pathetic subhumans but I expected more from SA, for what I now realize are totally ridiculous reasons.

Yes. People who work in evil industries should quit their jobs. People shouldn't be cops, they shouldn't be military contractors, and they shouldn't work for casinos. Yes, capitalism manipulates people into unethical positions. It extorts people into participating in systems of evil. But that doesn't make the systems less evil or less in need of dismantling, sabotage, and down tools. No one lives up to all their moral obligations. Lord knows I don't. We all fail to be perfect, and most of us fail to be particularly good. But we still need some ideas to guide us away from absolute soullessness.
