Artists and writers who get to work, long-term, for companies that do their best to make their practices more ethical are the lucky few. Most will just have to work for peanuts on a freelance basis in an industry that might not even tell them what their work will even be used for. I started the space train one recently and honestly the writing is genuinely charming and interesting in the side content and setting writing. Some actual laughs as well. The main quest writing is just kind of existing which sucks because there's a lot of potential that the side quests barely dig into. Spent 0 dollars on it tho. Just pull better.

I'm playing granblue and i like the main plot but early on it's very obvious they felt they had to have a fight after every story segment cause a lot of scenes end with "I'll tell you after we defeat these monsters!" and then the next scene picks up as though nothing happened. They stop that after not too long though, thankfully.

personally i think the hatsune miku gacha game understands modern society better than any other work of fiction because the first thing that happens in that game is a trans teenager talking about doxxing someone for making fun of her on the internet

i dont think we should blame bartenders for making alcoholics or blackjack dealers for making gambling addicts. BUT when it comes to art and artists, due to the largely freelance nature of the job, its loser behavior to continuously take lovely jobs that pay rear end so companies can keep doing so.

Artists should demand more money for making big-titty anime waifu pictures, I agree. But seriously, artists should be getting paid WAY more for their work regardless of what they're drawing, especially if it's attached to gacha games or other pay-to-win games.
