IME when the remake is of the sort whose appeal is that it's more accurate to the source material this time around, it's usually bad news! For this in particular it's like, I'd be interested in seeing if it gets to animate the parts beyond what the original anime covered but I'm not that interested in seeing it tread the same ground.

I think most of the anime remakes/revivals have been well-received, it’s not like it’s Disney where they poop on the original. I think the only one that got blasted abit was Berserk cause of some production issues on some episodes

I assume the upcoming one piece remake will be better too. and cp9 and enies lobby are mostly fine anyway. tbh its mostly around impel down/whitebeard that it starts becoming a huge problem, and thats really deep into the series time-wise also the 90s jojo's ova's version of the d'arby, n'doul, and dio fights were all way better than the davidpro versions
