yamazaki-sensei understands that there are few things in life better than a hot bath so I am very happy for her that she got to make a very successful manga about it, that netflix paid for her to travel to and try out japan’s best onsen, and that she was bestowed the order of the star of italy for “contributing to the growth of italian culture” one of the most memorable times I’ve had in japan is sipping on a can of sapporo in a sento in nakano while some old otaku were having a heated discussion about gundam or something in the same 40°c tub I was blissed out in

i watched the last couple episodes of ruin explorers: fam & ihrie a recently and that one fucks me up cause in most respects it is probably one of the best 90s fantasy ovas. except, fam & ihrie barely do anything for half of it!

I was just talking about Dragon Half the other day. If there is an over the top female character from the 90s or 2000s, Kotono Mitsuishi probably voiced them.

I did end up being amazed that as much fun as I had with the Dragon Half OVA, the manga is actually pretty drat good as someone who only bought it last year.

Someone told me to check out ‘Under Ninja’, and it’s one of those awkward CG shows. So I check out the manga and that’s awkward CG too. I love Kengo Hanazawa’s old artstyle, it’s a shame he pivoted to essentially tracing CG models during I Am A Hero. His older stuff has so much charm.
