wonder what the liability insurance is like for a place that gets customers drunk and puts knives and axes in their hands

i'll stick with a couple old-fashioneds and an AR-15 at my local Family Shooting Center

(yes, Family Shooting Center is real, i've driven past it, do not doubt our commitment to the bit here in florida)

I mentioned... A dry cider with a giraffe on the can. Its pretty dry. Basically an apple wine at this point it's not even really fizzy anymore.

Id be drinking a gin and tonic with a lime if I wasn't to lazy to buy tonic and limes. I understand most people hate gin and tonic though so... Like I said to each their own!

cider is traditionally still anyway. it's better still and unsweetened imo. i used to make it every fall when i was a brewer. the sugary fizzy stuff we have in NA is wack

Yeah I like the fizz but the fizzy stuff is always super sweet which I hate.

This is pretty darn dry and has a lot of depth of flavor but I still miss the fizz.

Gin and tonic with a nice lime wedge is my favorite. Fizzy and not too sweet as long as you use the right amount of gin and lime

Why have a Gin and tonic when you could also just as easily have a Gin and Seltzer? Or soda as it may be called.

gin just hasn’t been the same since they stopped making it in bathtubs

Wendigee
Jul 19, 2004

Because you're using a little more gin than tonic and a big lime wedge and that little bit of sugar makes it taste better than seltzer water.

Plus tonic has a nice flavor all its own.

Mmm quinine.

Real question: What does Tonic give a drink that Seltzer doesn't?

Wendigee
Jul 19, 2004

Flavor... This isn't rocket science.

You can get diet tonic water if you don't mind artificial sweetener flavor.

Still has that quinine kick bud!

:actually:

They still give you a pill if you travel to a malaria area and talk to a pharmacist. Along with some hep vaccine variants if you're smart.

Quinine isn't very effective in a strong dose unless it's all you have.

Current tonic water has an incredibly low quinine content and won't do anything but add a unique taste. The gin was originally to cover the taste of all the quinine they were drinking.

Yes it's weird and I don't know why I like it, but it's my favorite drink by far.
