The best MonHun weapons are the tonfa that they're too cowardly to port to the main series. But after that it's Sword and Shield (Versatile, easier item usage mid fight, funny shield bash combos) and Heavy Bowgun (Shotgun godzilla in his face)

Couldn't be me They come right to you, ideally into your shield which blows up and does a small amount of stun damage which knocks them down, and opens up a perfect opportunity to input the shortcut to perform a Super Amped Elemental Discharge.
