Cooked Auto posted:Of course they'd give the mercs the G11. One cool bit about the G11 is that because Robocop's arms are entirely artificial, he doesn't have a normal range of rotation for his wrist; when fully reloading from empty, to chamber a round with the Kraut Space Magic, he slots the manual rotor between two fingers and simply spins his left hand 360 degrees. It's just one of those things that the devs put in the game because it makes sense that he would be able to do that.

I appreciate the number of callbacks to earlier in the game when you're in the prison.

![]() Episode 18: Cyber Trail Wendell's goons have stolen Dr. Blanche's work computer to obtain the data from RoboCop's counseling sessions. We can use that to pick up their trail, but the more immediate problem is that these guys were not too happy to discover she actually carries the important data in her notebook. I think Officer Status: On Duty is just an oversight, not really a bug per se. He showed up earlier in the game as a random cop on dispatch duty and I guess they just didn't update his ID for his other appearances.

Wait, why does he instantly believe her? Why doesn't he call someone to keep an eye on the sex-dungeon girl? Even if she is innocent, surely you're supposed to ensure that the suspect doesn't get away while you're pursuing another lead.

Given the strike, two cops is all he's got.

RoboCop did say earlier that his robo-senses can tell when people are speaking the truth. Of course, that doesn't explain why he couldn't tell Agatha was lying or why he left her alone. ![]() I think the real answer is that these investigation quests, while a fun addition to the game, aren't particularly well written. Well, and judging by Kurtz in this quest, these cops can't be trusted to do anything. DMorbid fucked around with this message at 01:02 on May 20, 2024 |

![]() Episode 20: Eternity, Today As our hunt takes us to OCP HQ following a thankfully brief trip to the Detroit sewer system, we finally discover what Project Afterlife is about. Which isn't really much of a discovery if you can read context clues at all, but still!

The piano longue version of the robocop theme in the background towards the end was a neat touch.

1. So, we've finally got a sewer level. Did we do a "time-to-box" in this game? 2. Is it disturbing that the vision of dystopia (HR celebrating their downsizing, and the "Source" water ad) don't feel like exaggerations?

The reporter asking for Robocop's opinion on the mayoral campaign is a bit... I dunno, weird, but the rest of this? Brilliant. Good use of "bitches", very thematic. Product launch, also very cool. The new PCB has a lot more armour-piercing, doesn't it? I seem to recall the one that you were using before didn't have as much. I think it had more raw damage. This LP is doing its job, I think I want to get buy this game and play through it now.

I'm assuming that the robots are armoured. But the new PCB just seems to melt them, like the regular mooks. I love games that make you OP. "Over-Powered" that is, not "Original Poster".

I'm always surprised that you don't seem to be doing any of the chip combining stuff? I mean, yeah, you're pretty overpowered even without it, but this is Robocop -- there's no kill like overkill!

Yeah, I probably could've gotten pretty decent stuff for the 6.0 board by combining some of my low-level chips, but I tend to forget that option even exists because as you said, I'm quite overpowered at this point anyway.

I thought that was a random aside. You can combine chips in this game? Are we talking about the nodes, or the PCBs? How does this work?

You select the chip merging option in the PCB upgrade screen, shove some of your chips in the slots provided and hope it gives you something you can use. There's too much RNG in the process for my liking, although the results can be pretty decent even when you use low-level chips like +11% or +12% ones. Just don't go too crazy because there are only so many chips you can find per playthrough. I will talk about this in the final episode and will splice in some footage of the process even though I didn't use it on the actual playthrough.
