This man literally is contracted to yell in any role he plays. I just watched a capital one commercial, where he just appears in someones backseat and yells at them about credit cards. Has this man ever gotten a normal speaking role, in anything?

He's played the same role in about 90% of his movies. Still better than Michael Cera playing the same role (himself) in 100% of his movies. Other actors that do this are Jack Nicholson. Thank you.

IDK about what's going on in the OP but I do wish he'd share the location of the fountain of youth. Dude looks younger now than he did 20 years ago.

Remember when it was funny that he said yes to Snakes on Plane cause he was a real actor and it seemed crazy that he would take a role that dumb?

the thing is, for a guy who yells, Samuel L Jackson has quite remarkable elocution. like he's perfect for Tarantino movies not just because he's a cool angry black man but because he can actually say the bullshit verbose dialogue tarantino writes without stumbling over his words like any normal human being would

It's not that SLJ is known for yelling "motherfucker" in a movie that he gets the roles, it's that he's good at it. And when someone writing a script writes [BLACK ACTOR]: (yells)"Motherfucker!" people can't help but hear it in his voice, like the old Professor from Futurama with "Good news everyone!" and Randy Savage going "Ooh, yeah!"

I don't think he yells much as Nick Fury.
|
# ? Aug 29, 2016 11:14 |

Starting in 1989, five years before Pulp Fiction, he seriously started making about five movies a year (sometimes more) and hasn't stopped. A lot of stars maybe have a couple of years when they do that, right when they hit it big, then they chillax and do whatever. Really Samuel L. Jackon rules, because I can't remember watching him in a movie that was just outright terrible. There are a few movies that would have been terrible had he not been in them. Also he's a lot cooler than Laurence Fishburne, who's been coasting since The Matrix.
