March Thread here.
My favorite WWE-related posts for this month.
____________________________
Last month's recap:
- The first week and a bit of the month was about starting the build to Wrestlemania, most notably with Shayna Baszler's complete domination of the main event of Elimination Chamber at the expense of every other woman in the match.
- Then everything fell apart because the COVID-19 global pandemic threw the entire world for a loop.
- All shows from 3/11's NXT happened at the Performance Center for empty arena shows. Large chunks of Raw and Smackdown featured lengthy replays of PPV matches from the past.
- Vince McMahon absolutely refused to accept that Wrestlemania would have to be canceled or even delayed, and neither he nor Tampa's Government wanted to blink first on calling it off. Finally Vince relented and declared Wrestlemania would now be a taped show over two nights in an empty arena at the Performance Center.
- WWE pushed the narrative that this was just a decision Vince came up with on his own and went out of their way not to mention COVID-19.
- Roman Reigns pulled out of his match against Goldberg for the Universal Championship due to his concerns over his immune system (compromised by his prior bouts with leukemia).
- Roman's withdrawal was reported by the media then confirmed by Roman himself. Despite this, WWE continued up to and including the final Raw of the month to advertise Roman vs. Goldberg, despite having already filmed the replacement match.
- The Miz showed up to the Wrestlemania tapings sick and was sent home, meaning the scheduled triple threat tag between Miz/Morrison, The New Day and The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Titles was thrown out and changed to something else.
- Dana Brooke was announced as being part of a Six-way for Bayley's Smackdown Women's Championship. Then she was reported as being sent home due to being sick, and the match without on-screen explanation was changed to a Fatal Fiveway.
- Daniel Bryan will have to go into 3 weeks of isolation after his Wrestlemania match with Sami Zayn for the IC title, due to his wife being pregnant.
- Andrade suffered a rib injury and was removed from a program tagging with Angel Garza, replaced by recent NXT signee Austin Theory. The Street Profits' Montez Ford did something VERY STUPID in a six-man tag match against Seth Rollins, Garza & Theory.
- WWE eventually came to an agreement with Fox to offer Wrestlemania on PPV for $60, Fite TV is also offering it on PPV. It's also still on the WWE Network for $10 for the month (or free for new subscribers).
- WWE announced a new deal for broadcast rights in India that got them more cash than the previous deal.
- WWE stock closed the month at $33.93 a share. It started the month at $46.36, was at $71.16 6 months ago, and at a high of $98.50 almost a year ago.
- The final Raw of March averaged 1.92 million viewers, down 700k from the same time last year.

The ratings of raw will go so low that AEW will actually catch them in the 900.000-1.000.000 range.
Also play Control. Great game so far.
New Control DLC just came out, too!

There was an attempt at a forums coup, so now all of the good mods are getting banned.
On further investigation this appears to be an April Fool's joke but if not I am claiming this thread as Rarity territory
