Honestly, if I were a videojames-making computer toucher I'd probably be sick to death of any game if I had been working on it for a decade. And according to that post the Design Leadership Team is still mostly composed of people who've been working on SWTOR for years, so I wouldn't immediately draw any pessimistic conclusions from Boyd leaving.

I think it's alignment-based, not completion-based.

First, he�s probably going to need to get at least one character to Dark V. Once he�s done that, open up the Legacy menu and buy the dark side trait (sacrifice? Can�t remember. It�s the red one next to Unity.) Then you should be good to go.

Yeah, you either need to get really lucky or have a lot of patience. I spent most of last year's event trying to acquire them; there were only a few days left I think when at last the Kingpin machine dropped them for me, when I'd already largely given up hope. Yet I had like 6 CL-4W droids. Conversely, I saw people complaining that they had a whole bunch of shades but were still missing the droid. It's just a complete crapshoot.

The only downside to the shades is that they don�t work in cutscenes and convos, you only get the frames.

I think the general consensus is that the game actually got harder due to changes in 7.0 and according to Swtorista the new Operation was surprisingly difficult on the PTS even in Story Mode, so things won't necessarily be "even easier" come tomorrow.

Hey this year you can actually buy Emperor's Casino Chips! That's convenient, grinding for them could get pretty hellish. That said, a single one will set you back 7.5 million creds, so you'll need reasonably deep pockets to afford any significant number of them.
