I ran through the tutorial mission in the Steam and GOG editions earlier today. The GOG version automatically detected my display's native resolution while I had to go into the options to set it in the Steam version, but other than that I didn't encounter any differences in performance. If you aren't experiencing any crashes or other performance issues with your Steam copy then you probably don't need to pick up the GOG version. And since it hasn't been posted in thread here's the mini-doc from youtuber Raycevik about recovering the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBXbrofwKwM

AP being 14 years old makes it as old as 1994 games were when Good Old Games was launched. (a random observation)

i'm late to this i'm sure, but what's going on w the partial gog redesign? there's a new or secondary logo / typemark in there that looks kinda awful. noticed the copywriting changed up too — more typos and mild weirdness than before. did bundlestars buy them or something? did i get hacked

They rearranged the main site a bit recently but I don't see any new logos or anything like that.

Hey folks, just got a new PC and installed Galaxy on it and I can't remember if it was this thread or the GOG forums, but I remember getting a link to the latest Galaxy client version rather than just the 2.0 version on the website. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Also does anyone have a link to the working Steam intergrator? I'd get all this from my old PC but it died.

Reddit search turned up this: https://remote-config.gog.com/components/webinstaller?component_version=2.0.0 Steam integration, I gave up on, but last I checked, there was a community integration that had one foot in the grave. (edit: maybe try this, I don't bother with Galaxy integrations anymore: https://www.reddit.com/r/gog/comments/11qg0o7/gog_galaxy_steam_integration_needs_update_from/) Playnite's Steam and GOG integrations work just fine, so when I feel like having that graphical launcher, that's what I use (but mostly I don't). doctorfrog fucked around with this message at 18:06 on May 3, 2024 |

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/gog-is-going-to-start-deleting-oversized-cloud-saves-at-the-end-of-august/ I received an email about this too. Cloud saves on GOG will be limited to 200MB per game. Those saves above that limit will begin to be deleted starting August 31st of this year. I have three games above the limit I'll have to back up into local storage. The Witcher 2, The Witcher 3, and Tyranny. Edit: Just to clarify saves will be deleted starting from the oldest until the file size is brought down to the 200MB limit. Apparently Original War of all my games is the only thing over the limit.

It's a dumb to use a global limit when most games probably struggle to hit 10 or 20 MB in saves except some strategy and role playing games, including those by CDPR, which will happily reach over half a gigabyte or more if you don't clean up savegames manually all the time (or never make manual saves at all but why aren't you playing on consoles at that point ![]() Money problems?

I deleted a bunch of CP77 saves in-game but the total listed online hasn't changed. Did anyone see it change right away?

Twobirds posted:I deleted a bunch of CP77 saves in-game but the total listed online hasn't changed. Did anyone see it change right away? It's 200MB of saves uploaded to their cloud, not locally. You have to delete them in the cloud storage interface on gog.com. You can have infinity amounts of local saves on your machine, they'll just only back up the most recent 200MB for each game.
