Ok, thank you. It just seems to be this thing that is never addressed while similar things get crucified. Though I guess there is a difference when it comes from the brain of somebody who treats minorities as an onion ring in your order of large fries at best. (One onion ring: ok I didn't want this but maybe it could be good. Two Onion Rings: I ORDERED FRIES NOT loving ONION RINGS). But I'm moving on to a point I started making in the AEW thread and am moving here but it makes more sense here. We talk about guys who get released from WWE landing on their feet elsewhere but...how do you land on your feet once you're kicked out of WWE-land? Especially now that AEW is approaching capacity. The pro wrestling landscape has been largely barren of other opportunities since the days of the territories. If you're say...Mace what can you actually hope for right now? Do you want to just get this charade over with and escape back to whatever the gently caress it was you were doing? Do you want to get shot out of the airlock in hopes of somehow making your mark under Sinclair media, Billy Corgan or Anthem for 1/5th the money? Or do you hope and pray that SOMEHOW this stupid-rear end bowl of lemons you were handed can somehow be turned into lemonade? There are few real options and I have to think that of all the things Vince doesn't know, he knows that. He knows his contractors are hosed and without real options so he can keep making them dance while Fox and USA showers him with money he doesn't have to share. He doesn't have to be equitable, he just has to pay more than anybody else. There is an opinion of 'purge the bloat' which is valid. But then what does the bloat do? (because vince mcmahon does not notice)

Fortunately he went on to do much cooler poo poo with his life but man, it sucked that DDP and later Booker T had to work so hard to get over while they just tossed in loving Goldberg like it was nothing and beltfed him championships Also HHH beating Sting but that's another thing entirely.

https://twitter.com/WWENXT/status/1311357473937330177 Still might be a kayfabe injury (though you'd think they'd pick something other than a torn ACL) but if this is legit this might be it for Tegan.

Tegan was pretty good on commentary during the NXT Combine last year.

How about, and hear me out here, Sami gets the gimmick of having so many concussions that he becomes brain damaged and is a special needs sports entertainer from now on... unless he hears a trumpet, which triggers something inside him and he dons the El Generico mask and becomes super-capable in the ring.

Allegedly there's a Takeover this week, which is the first I've heard of it. Finn Balor(c) vs. Kyle O'Reilly, NXT title Damien Priest(c) vs. Johnny Gargano, North American title Io Shirai(c) vs. Candice LeRae, NXT Women's title Santos Escobar(c) vs. Swerve Scott, NXT Cruiserweight title Kushida vs. Credibly Accused Child Groomer Velveteen Dream Kushida has been in NXT since April 2019. This is his first Takeover match.

Good for Kushida. To think that he could have been slumming it with the likes of Hiromu, Ishimori and SHO instead.

Can’t even mention a wrestlers past so when a 51 year old PCO debuts someday, maybe they’ll go “He’s a brand new wrestler, never wrestler anywhere. A rookie. We wish the kid well here. Good luck, kid.” And of course the NO MOM WE WERE HERE FIRST. IM FIRST. HELLO I WAS FIRST! IM NOT MOVING WAHHHHH!! LEAVE ME ALONE I WAS FIRST!!!!!!!

Gargano/Ciampa won in 2018, Cole/Gargano won in 2019. I think that's where the confusion is coming from.

2019 is whatever, New Japan didn't have any super feuds and AEW hadn't quite gotten going for long enough but if it did win 2018 too that would be kind of wack, especially given how bad those finishes sucked after the first one.
