Yeah, a field-shortening play, even one without a 90% of running the clock down to 0, would have to more than double the chances of the shot into the endzone connecting to be worth it. Sure seems like taking two [edit] 4% chances is better than trying to improve your odds to [edit] 5.8% and only getting one attempt, and 3/4 of the dumbshits watching at home would have been happy to tell McCarthy that at the time. But maybe you can pick up enough yards on that play that your one shot doesn't have to be a full-on hail mary.

I'm sure most fanbases feel this way, but the radio broadcasters for the Bengals are a loving national treasure. Lapham and Hoard are both institutions and I'll be real sad when either one of them retires. Lapham has got to be in his sixties.

The Chiefs radio guy has a great voice and lots of nicknames and classic moments but is a giant chud goon personally and any of his opinions on actual football are beyond stupid, like him wanting to take a corner instead of Mahomes in the draft. Also it doesn't help that the first Chiefs radio guy before him was none other than Kevin Harlan, Absolute Legend.
