The two rerun events that were chosen by player votes are Chaldea Summer Adventure and the Arcade Collabo, so if you didn't grab Draco, make sure your SQ stocks are looking juicy

I'm trying (way too late) to save for Arcuied here, anything particularly good about these reruns or is it just a last chance for collectors?

From my own fresh experience of recently clearing the game on an alt, you're not really at a stage in the game where you should be farming FQs to raise servants to clear story content; get a Georgios up to third ascension which gives you 3 turns of Taunt up, Mash has a Taunt and also a targeted Invincibility for the your main DPS, and that gives you 6+ turns for your Morgan and/or a borrowed Berserker to clear quests if you're concerned for their survivability.

Also join the goon discord, make friends with good servants so you don't have to pick randos.

I still have some goon friends from a friendship share the previous thread did last year.

I'll look at Georgios and maybe main team Mash for the bosses. She won't get her taunt until some time into London, which is the next place I'm heading it appears. Morgan just ascended and got a guts so I just have to time using that better. Recently had story trouble with a giant dragon who would triple attack her or attack the entire team at once*. And then again last night with Hector who got his np off since I was using a story servant instead of a ringer. He team wiped me but Salter came in off the backline and finished him off with saber advantage.

I need to take a look at my CEs too since I've barely touched those.

*A day after I was done with the wyvern island story, big dragon boss fight as well as being done dragon fang farming for now, I remembered my first servant glaring at me from the bench, Sorry, Siegfried. Sigh.

They're talking about the JP server. We haven't even gotten Draco a single time yet, don't worry.

There's a set of videos you can follow to solo every boss from Camelot all the way to LB4, and all it requires is the support servant, sometimes with a specific CE(Herc lol), and then lvl 1 copies of Georgios and Leonidas. The 'rarest' support you would need is an Orion, most all others are Cu Alter or Herc.

This playlist will take you to the end of LB4 including the interludes, some fights may have 0 window of error but mostly everything works.

Nah, it's a X.5 chapter like Heian Kyo. So permanent and will move to Main Interlude after finishing it.

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the chapter overall, not sure why specifically. Although Moriarty is very obviously tackled on to speed up the Holmes reveal, you could cut him and the chapter would be mostly the same by having Zhang Jue do some of his stuff.

Traum is just good. Up there with Camelot and Babylonia, and second only to LB6 as far as Part 2 story content goes.

It's very cohesively written by FGO standards, the cast gets exactly as much screentime as they need (Salome murdering Charlotte's entire character arc in 1/4th as many words), and the setpieces are awesome without devolving into meaningless power level inflation.

Yeah I went into Traum being unexcited about it because the featured characters didn't appeal to me. And while i'm still not going to roll for Roland, Charlie or Don, I had a blast, and the fights were more balanced than Lb6, and the gimmicks more fun, once they let us use some of our own Servants.

The start of lb7 is immediately after the end of traum. It’s the exact same scene.

To be fair we might not be doing this. They shrank LB6's 3 month release split into one month, so shrinking a 1 month split seems fairly likely.

there's a fair chance they're deliberately aiming for ending in 2025, iirc they've put emphasis on reaching 10th anni in interviews and even taking modern FGO pacing and "surprise" .5s and pseudo-story events into account that would track.

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept it going in a sort of 'maintenance/rerun/event' mode after the end o the main story, so that people could keep on playing, or people who started late could catch up. Just need increasingly outlandish summer, halloween and xmas events after all.

I have kinda complicated feelings about the game potentially ending

On one hand, the story probably should end for the sake if it's own quality.

On the other hand, it's the first "service" game I've played consistently for this length of time, and the idea of it going purely into reruns is kinda depressing to think about, especially considering all those GSSR bucks I spent..

I'm also worried that any prospective sequel or successor is gonna go all the way 3D and lose the lovely Super Robot Wars aesthetic that I love so much

A few thoughts in no order:

The game isn't over yet, we still have at least a year or more before they finish up this arc, and there's a good chance they'll do more.

It's been one hell of a ride - like, even if it ended today I'd be furious at the cliffhanger but also like... we've read some incredible stories, met some incredible characters. I haven't read many games that have hit the highs the storytelling has hit here, or hell, many books for that matter. Absolutely incredible stuff in here.

Same thing for the gameplay, I fuckin' love the bonsai tree/idle game stuff where it's my effort (and the robot's effort) that have gotten my favorites to level 100 and fully foued and so on. I don't regret 10/10/10-ing Hans Christian Andersen for a moment, and this also has the weirdly charming knock-on effect of making me smile more when I read his stuff or read about his life. Weird parasocial relationship, but also fuckit, I gave Voyager grails and he's still out there trucking: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/

I think if the game did officially end and go into reruns I'd finish grailing and 10/10/10-ing a few last favorites and put it to bed and go outside and look at the stars for a while.

Okeanos down. That wasn't too bad. The servants were kind of all over the place and the macguffin Ark of the Covenant a very odd choice. Herc and Asterios were good as was Drake. Tempted to roll on her banner but I need to stay strong and save. I got to field her a few times with story assist, her np was cool. I wish she was the reward servant over David.

Final battle was anticlimactic again. This time because I picked a ringer I didn't recognize as a guest who didn't do much damage, and I'd just swapped in a new unbuilt 5th for bond points.. Morgan was also in the back and was my last fighter standing. She got the boss down to 600hp before dying. I command coded it and got the whole party back fully charged up for terrible overkill. Could have also spent SQ or used a leyline stone which seems to have an expiration timer on it.

On to London.

Just beat Traum and wow, this was almost even an understatement. Easily my favorite non-LB6 chapter. Kadoc was well worth the wait. This was also probably the funniest chapter so far. The comedy landed every single time for me and was frankly a welcome respite after how dark LB6 was.

Gameplay spoilers: I really wish it hadn't made us do the exact same kill 10 enemies in 5-7 turns fight like eight straight times or whatever it was, though!
