How is the Japanese public reacting to Biden saying Japan doesn't want immigrants?

How did that even come up?

He was trying to make a point about how America is a great mixing pot / nation of immigrants while other nations flounder. I don't know if it succeeded that message in the US, but it seemed pretty dicey to me from overseas.

Right, but shouldn't those have remained somewhat constant, rather than spiking up then going back down to the mean?

China’s harsher lockdowns meant chip prices spiked for the automakers, fuel prices also shot up.

Haven’t seen anything on the news, but it sounds like not super well

quote:

Japan hit back Saturday at U.S. President Joe Biden's comments about the Asian ally being "xenophobic" like China and Russia, calling the characterization "unfortunate" and misguided.

In response, Tokyo on Saturday said it was "unfortunate that comments not based on an accurate understanding of Japan's policy were made," according to a government statement.

The Japanese government had already delivered this message to the White House and explained once again about its policies and stances, the statement said.

Haven’t seen coverage but not sure it’ll be thrown to man-on-the-street coverage or not.

So young voters are just more indifferent? They don't favor other parties either.

What's the blue color party? Is it an urban focused party?
