There are 2 update files, so if you only get the first it just has the new paid-for-charity suits. The 2nd update file has everything else. If you have trouble getting your PS5 to download the second file, what I was advised to do was switch to another user (Guest is fine) and then manually Check for Update. That triggered it finally.

yup, i ended up going for a walk because even after rebooting my ps5 the second update wasn't showing. After starting NG+ i realized i forgot all my powers and skills and ended up beginning a fresh ultimate run I'll take into NG+ afterwards lol

Apparently Insomniac made an oopsie and left easy access to a debug menu.  It also mentions Beetle so they might be appearing in some kinda DLC (or were cut from the game)https://www.eurogamer.net/marvels-spider-man-2-update-adds-debug-menu-and-potential-dlc-spoilers

Stuff from the Insomniac super leak: there's a Venom game coming out, i think it's set for 2025? Of course, the leak was way before the layoffs, so who knows.

Co-op comboing with a friend was the thing I wanted most. I didn't have my hopes up about Spider-Man 2 because they shut down speculation about two player action way early in the hype cycle but it's now more disheartening to know how close we actually were to getting it.

Yeah I'm not sure from that pitch if I'd play it any more than like half the time I put on the real games. That gwen design is amazing tho.

I’d have been obsessed with that game. I played quite a bit of Gotham Knights just because I enjoyed jumping into random co-op games.

It's probably for the best that it didn't come out. We've seen the track record of devs getting pulled out of their comfort zone to pursue live service bullshit, and the game might've ended up pretty rough if they couldn't keep the combat fluid in co-op.

It certainly would have been a technical challenge. The PS5 can handle zipping through vast swaths of the city quickly when everything is just local and centred around one player but doing that online for multiple players together? Also, I know Tsushima Legends was able to pull it off but the multiplayer possibilties of the franchise is maybe the reason in Spider-Man 2 they eliminated most to all of the slow-mo in combat that the first two games had. Messing with time is tricky when there are other players to consider.
