Glorious leaderish checking in via mobile. I haven't had time to pop into roll20 (ominous I know) but I'm thinking right now that we have two broad options: wait for our trucks and bundle up, then blow through in one push (not my fav) or try to race the Russians to the road, push them off and hold while the trucks pass behind us.

I don't like it much; generally speaking all they have to do is get fire on the road, while we have to get fire on every position from which they could fire on the road.

Armor company, esp. the Abrams, I think we'll be leaning on you. How we use our infantry will be very interesting. Where and when to dismount is a serious issue.

E: we should build a list of potential curve balls (enemy air support, heavy arty, etc.) and an action plan for our support. As far as I know the delay between call in and fire is very much cut down in Black Sea compared to the WWII games.

Today kicked the crap outta me so I'll hold off for a night's rest and morning coffee before weighing in, but using JJ's post as a rough springboard:

quote:

try to race the Russians to the road, push them off and hold while the trucks pass behind us.

This will get us killed unless GI has significantly gimped the Russian comp. We're tough. We are not a "go punch-for-punch with a motorized division" tough.

quote:

wait for our trucks and bundle up, then blow through in one push (not my fav)

It's not my fav either because Russians have some pretty interesting ways of dealing with enemies entrenched in tough defensive positions. To wit:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YegxUegrI_4

...and then keyholed T-90s ping anything larger than infantry from the other side of the map as we try to get out from under that shitshow.

quote:

I don't like it much; generally speaking all they have to do is get fire on the road, while we have to get fire on every position from which they could fore on the road.

Agreed. Which is why I'm really really liking the idea of throwing our infantry into the forests in ASR Tinker and westward and hold them like angry motherfucking dogs performing the great granddaddy of defenses-in-depth while the Abrams screen anyone trying to get rowdy flanking through MSR Trump and Eagle, making a special point to piss on the graves of anyone who dies with a full magazine/rocket tube.

How that's done specifically depends on things that may or may not be forthcoming like elevation maps or spiritual knowledge gleaned in sleep jeezy petes im tired

e; I really like JJ's idea of a "What To Do When poo poo Goes Down" flowchart and have a couple notions in that direction already but I'm not getting any more coherent by the minute, here

Here's a very crude drawing of a map, with suggestions for place names and road names.

To get the ball rolling, here's a rough draft of our operational plan.

Each company gets about 600m-800m of frontage to cover, which is about the maximum they can cover.

Companies should move ahead one platoon at a time, to avoid pathfinding entanglements.

Tasks
Support
-Battalion HQ + a detached platoon of 1 Company will act as a reserve behind our main line
-Mortars will deploy near near Battalion HQ.
-Recon will scout our northern-eastern flank.
-Raven UAV will scout the open terrain between Chernova Hirka and the southern forests.

Combat Units
-A Company will cover the West, protecting Exits Alpha and Bravo. Once reinforcements arrive, they will make their exit via Route Alpha.
-2 Company + attached Grenade Launcher platoon will cover the West.
-1 Company(-) + attached Antitank platoon will cover the Center, protecting Junction X-Ray

*it might be worth switching A Company and 1 Company, since the Americans have better ATGMs to cover the Ballpark

**someone will need to establish a checkpoint on MSR Trump to make sure that convoy makes the correct turn on ASR Beggar. No one wants a Ukranian Jessica Lynch.

Reinforcements
-Supply Convoy will proceed along ASR Beggar to exit via Exit Alpha
-15 30 minute reinforcements, US Platoon(+), will secure MSR Trumps SE end and engage Russian units coming from the SE.
-30 minute reinforcements, UKR Company(+) will be used as the situation demands, likely to support the 15 min (US) units or 1 and 2 Companies.

CAS
-2x AH-64D at the 15 minute mark accompanying the convoy, both with 800x 30mm HEDP, 38x 70mm HE, 4x Hellfire ATGM
-1x F-15E at the 30 minutes With 5x 894kg bomb

We focus on using the forest terrain and close-engagement ranges whenever possible. This stops the Russians from exploiting numerical and qualitative superiority in vehicles and weapons.

We lock down open terrain with the T-84s, the Abrams, and our ATGMs.

Bacarruda that is essentially what I'm thinking but a couple of problems:

You have the ATGM teams and the recon team deploying in positions that will be in LOS of the russians, forcing them to deploy under fire where they cannot be supported by the weight of our firepower. Furthermore you have the recon moving the farthest and presumably the fastest through a river and very soft ground.

Half moon copse is a far better position and looks to have LOS of conjunction junction. (I appreciate the john le carre names but they are not very kawaii)

Ribeye definitely gives gives us better fields of fire, but your concern about vulnerability is valid. Do you think we should put some eyes there, given that it's the best vantage point we have down MSR Trump?

We shouldn't commit all our recon in the North, obviously. I think having recon units head up that way will be important, since the BRDMs are our most mobile asset and there are pathways they can follow to get dismounted recon teams in place.

I think we need to wait to see exactly what the sight lines are and what we are expected to do because that will answer the question for us.

If our goal is only to hold the cross roads and get men out at exit alpha then we don't need to mess with anything past Eagle. We will already know where they are going and what they are trying to do so throwing out troops that we can't support is just feeding them some free points and any knowledge gained won't make a bit of difference on how we deploy.

Just using the mk 1 eyeball on google maps it looks like we have at least 3 zones where we won't be in LOS and so will be unable to support our forces.

There look to be two hills along eagle that break up los, one somewhere around ASR Taylor that is kinda meaningless and more importantly one somewhere along Jagged. Effectively it means we will have one force supporting X ray and another on the other side of the hill towards bravo. How LOS works out in the SW corner of the map is going to answer a lot of questions and what forces will be necessary to secure both of our assumed objectives.

Furthermore, there seem to be two rivers, that line behind putin and boris that goes all the way to eagle, and one in ushanka. Depending on how bad those look we will know roughly the russians axis of advance.

Sorry, certainly not my intention to leave you in the dark, I just left things slightly open ended so ideally you could formulate your own objectives within the context of the scenario:

quote:

The last orders the 9th Infantry received were to regroup at Krolevets. Most of 1st Battalion has already made it and 'A' Company is bringing up the rear. Their objective is to preserve their strength as much as possible and break out to Krolevets to continue the fight with the rest of their unit. Tagging along with 'A' Company are elements of 'D' Company, 2-69 Armor. Only two Abrams have made it this far and their ammunition is getting low, but four Ukrainian tanks have attached themselves to the Abrams, forming an ad-hoc under-strength company. The 58th Mechanized has standing orders to keep the highway open for as long as possible to allow further units to escape encirclement. There is no official policy in inter-force coordination, the Ukrainian and American units exist in entirely different chains of command due to the chaotic nature of the situation. They each have their orders, but what they decide to do is up to them.

Russian forces have reached the outskirts of Krolevets. Elements of a Motor Rifle Regiment have been engaged on the edges of town with reports that a battalion sized unit was rushing south towards the highway. The Russians are trying to close the gap. Should the pressure prove too intense to keep the high-way open, simply keeping the Russians engaged here will buy time for friendly forces around Krolevets to organize themselves and dig in. Should a continued engagement become unsustainable, the forest north of the highway is large enough to escape into. If any units can escape into the forest, they could eventually form partisan groups to disrupt Russian supply lines in the future.

A friendly convoy of supply trucks is moving up behind us and will reach the field within the next twenty minutes. If they can escape to Krolevets they'll be invaluable to the defenders there. There's also the possibility of some air-support, last communications with higher command had assets freed for our use within the next thirty-minutes.

The Russians have left us no options. Fight or die.

Americans
- Have standing orders to preserve their strength as much as is possible and break out to Krolevets

Ukrainians
- Have standing orders to keep the gap open as long as possible to
a) Allow as many units avoid encirclement as possible and
b) Keep Russian forces tied up here to buy time for the defense of Krolevets

Both Ukrainians and Americans
- Do not necessarily have to follow their standing orders
- There are no VPs awarded for on map objectives
- There will be 'exit' zones on the western edge of the highway and the small road heading south-east so you can take your units off the map if you so choose
- You do not have to take your units off the map

Tanks
- Are not attached to either the American or Ukrainian C2 net because they're technically outside the chain of command of both
- Are technically an American unit, and there's a higher ranking American on the field
- But at this point are mostly Ukrainian tanks
- Each tank platoon commander will have to individually decide which formation to attach themselves to

Deployment
- Will happen in the south-east corner, whatever size will fit a battalion's worth of assets

Elevation Maps
- Have ~traditionally~ been done by the players, not the GM
- I'll see if I can make a massive stitched image of the elevation map in the editor if none of your guys can do it

Air support
- I haven't mentioned this yet, but for planning purposes:
- 2x AH-64D at the 15 minute mark accompanying the convoy
a) Each with 800x 30mm HEDP, 38x 70mm HE, 4x Hellfire ATGM
- 1x F-15E at the 30 minute mark with your reinforcements
a) With 5x 894kg bomb

If that's not clear let me know and I'll try and work it out. The underlying idea here is for you guys to take the scenario outlined in the OP and run with it.

In broad strokes Baccaruda's map conforms to my thoughts as well. Just a few things that jumped out:

Were I a Russian FO, I would arty the gently caress out of and back into Ribeye on general goddamned principle even before confirming contact in it. If those same assets were in, say, Half Moon Copse they could arrive more safely and stealthily in a more unassuming position and any armor would at least have to move up to Putin's Grove for LoS which would at least be in range of the ATGMs and probably in the open for the air support.

T-90s also have preposterous range that is Most Of The Map and Trump is a straight shot both ways, so I get a sinking feeling that if we don't achieve superior volume of fire (and I can't imagine we will) that anything travelling on Trump will lead a short-but-exciting life.

I really do believe the way forward is defend the southwest in depth with Eagle as the northernmost front, put most of our effort into not being seen and consider them spending an airstrike on a single fireteam holding up their advance in Fist Forest as a resounding tactical victory. We don't need to beat them. We just need to make their advance a miserable proposition. They have the pressure of a timetable to open up the road. We don't.

I think getting our armor onto the high ground at Marukhy is our best bet to maintain control of the junction without a suicide run at it. Following ASR Sailor to where it turns and then going up the hill should leave us with a good field of fire. We'll be screened from the right by Ribeye Woods and the general mess of woods and creeks north of MSR Trump.

Thoughts?

Edit: let me be a little clearer why I think this is worthwhile. We can lay up our tanks there and have them hull down and quiet until they have several juicy targets. Knocking out a few T90s in rapid succession from what looked like a clear sector, followed by contact reports with tanks that the Reds don't think we have, could start a morale breakdown on their side.

My suggestion is that initially our long-range firepower (armor, atgm) deploys defensively, trying to find concealed positions that allow for fire control over junction x-ray, while recon gets into position to observe beyond the junction. When the recon teams are in place, we'll hopefully have eyes on the russians and can deploy our heavy firepower to counter their moves.

Ok I'm gonna do a modified five paragraph order thing I found on wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_paragraph_order
Hopefully this will make things clear enough.

Situation

We are facing a Russian Mechanized Battalion with support. We all know what that means, lots of everything. This will give them two exclusive capabilities, to overwhelm and to saturate. They will be pushing south from the town of Chervona Hirka. We can expect multiple companies of mechanized infantry, tanks, mortars, and almost certainly some form of air support and perhaps divisional or army level artillery support. Likely axes of approach are along MSR Trump, ASR Sailor, and ASR Thief. The enemy could move down a single or multiple approaches. It is probable that they will choose multiple, but a single and overwhelming attack remains the most dangerous to our scattered forces. The northern position labeled Polo Grounds gives them complete control of all areas north of MSR Eagle.

Mission

We have two objectives, both of which require us to defeat any attempt by the Russians to either overwhelm individual positions or to saturate all our positions at once. We must hold the junction of MSR Eagle and MSR Trump, labeled junction X Ray. We must secure an exit for our forces to the town of Krovets along MSR Eagle or ASR Tinker. Doing so will require our forces to establish and sustain control over the approaches to the town of Bystryk. We must deny use of X Ray to the enemy. We must establish and sustain control of the areas labeled Junction Wood, Field of Dreams, Fist Forest, Chetah Forest, and Rabbit Field in order to ensure the complete freedom of movement to forces traveling between Bystryk and the exit along ASR Tinker. If possible, a secondary western exit along MSR Eagle will be taken but this objective is secondary to all others. Unnecessary casualties are to be avoided at all costs.

Execution

Standing general order
Use the Fast command while mounted and either on roads or on firm open terrain.

1st Company
You are to advance into Junction Wood. There you will prevent the enemy from a) crossing MSR Eagle b) establishing control of X Ray c) preventing access to the eastern half of Field of Dreams to the enemy d) preventing the enemy access to ASRs Tinker and Beggar. You will have control of one t-64BV to help you accomplish this. Do not move north of MSR Eagle unless ordered.

2nd Company
Secure the ridgeline north of Cheetah forest and support US forces to the east. You have 1 T-64BV in support. You have ultimate responsibility to secure exit point Alpha, but should the opportunity come to secure Bravo then do so. I want you to move to the ridge North of Cheetah and secure overwatch positions to Whiskey. Support A Company. Take Exit Bravo if possible as secondary objective.

Recon Plt
Proceed north as fast as possible, dismount, and recce aggressively into Jagged Forrest through its South Eastern border. Avoid any position to the North West that would leave you open to long range fire from positions farther to the North, but seek contact with the enemy, destroy anything in your ability, and then flee when presented with armor or a force too large to overcome. You are to avoid destruction at all costs, but seek contact wherever possible. Your position north of MSR Eagle will become impossible eventually, at that point move south and await further orders. Should this be inconvenient, place yourself under the command of the closest company command and help their forces in any way possible.

Battalion Support
ATGMs and Grenade Launchers are to take up positions along Half- Moon Copse, Bland Forest, and the northern approaches to the town of Bystryk overlooking X Ray and in such a way that they provide mutual support and maximum ability to put tubes on targets without exposing part of your force to enemy return fire. You will be the main force preventing Russian attack down MSR Trump. Two Abrams tanks will work in concert with your forces so that maximum anti-tank firepower can be focused on the most likely axis of attack.

Tank Forces
As previously stated, a single t-64BV will work in concert with 1st and 2nd companies respectively. They are to provide additional anti tank and infantry support. The dense terrain should allow our tanks to get close and achieve maximum lethality to both infantry and more advanced armor while minimizing exposure to long range fire. The Abrams tanks will protect X Ray. Avoid unnecessary exposure but take advantage of your superior range and targeting. I will leave exact deployment up to the commander but it should be withing the defensive ring described for Battalion Support. The remaining Bulat and Oplot will advance to the position labeled Field of Dreams and tank hull down positions overlooking MSR Eagle unless said positions put forces under long range fire. There they will prevent enemy access to the field and protect operational flanks for 1st Company to the east and A Company to the west. I leave the local commander independent so he can best decide how to meet these expectations.

Mortars
They will deploy in Bystryk. Trucks are to be kept at least 100 meters away from troops while detrained to avoid collateral damage from enemy air attacks. Company commanders have free access to mortar support.

A Company
While not nominally under my command I do hope US forces will accede to my request to take up positions in Sideshow Forest, Fist Forest, and Roadrunner Wood in order to protect ASR Tinker and guarantee our forces safe passage along the south western portion of the combat area. I leave exact deployment up to the company commander but I would stress the importance of 2nd company's position and hope the US commander does everything in his power to keep exit Alpha safe from enemy overwatch fire and the need to retain open communication with 2nd company in particular. Terrain is nasty in that region and it is an unenviable position, but perhaps the most important depending on the enemies disposition.

Logistics

Battalion Recon has ultimate road march priority. Drive up MSR Trump then cut across country taking a direct route to carry out your orders. Behind, along MSR Trump will follow the Abrams then Battalion Support.

1st Company will start to the west of MSR Trump and proceed to their positions. A Company, 2nd Company, and the Oplot and Bulat will each place themselves west of 1st Company and do the same, with march priority to the Oplot/Bulat, A Company, and 2nd Company respectively.

2nd Co 3rd Plt will set up on ASR soldier and move north across the bowling ally to his position in Ribeye Wood. After dismounting keep BTRs on hand but out of sight of the enemy.

Command
Battalion has ultimate command. Should Batallion be compromised the priority is as follows:
A Company
1st Company
2nd Company
Support Company
Recon Platoon

Please watch the video. It shows the ASR Beggar-ASR Tinker route we will take and the defensive positions we will take south of MSR Eagle.

I. Situation
Russian forces have broken through our lines northeast of Konotop and are converging on the city of Krolovets. Our parent unit, 3rd Battalion, 58th Mechanized Brigade, is attempting to make its way west and join in the defense of Krolovets and the roads approaching the city.

Russian forces are moving from the NW down MSR Trump to secure Junction X-Ray and cut off our access to Krolovets. We are also being pursued by Russian forces moving from the SE up MSR Trump.

A. Enemy Forces
Russian forces are operating in the area in strength. We expect to be confronted by at least one Russian Battalion Tactical Group (appx 800 men) with 1-3 companies (10-30 tanks) in support. This is a combined arms force of armor, recon vehicles, riflemen in APCs, ATGMS, infantry heavy weapons, supported by drones, artillery, and air support.

Russian forces are highly capable. Their heavy equipment is better than ours. Their tanks have better optics, fire control, and armor than our T-64s. Their ATGMs are longer-ranged and more accurate. Their BMP-3 carry a 30 mm autocannon and a 100m gun. Their BTR-80A have been upgunned with 30mm. Their dismounted infantry if effectively identical to ours in terms of capability and firepower. Each Mechanized infantry platoon hast three vehicles with three eight-man squads and platoon HQ. These men carry light machines guns, AK rifles, and several RPG AT launchers.

Russian forces will attack us. They will likely seek to secure Junction X-Ray and deny our forces use of Route Eagle and ASR Tinker, preventing friendly forces to entering or leaving Krolovets.

B. Friendly Forces
Our parent unit, 3rd Battalion (dtkozl) has been ordered to secure Junction X-Ray, deny it to Russian forces, and ensure that ASR Tinker, and if possible, MSR Eagle remain open to US And Ukrainian forces moving to Krolovets.
'
Our sister unit, 1st Company (Acebuckeye13) will be holding the Junction Woods area and securing Junction X-Ray

Our company will working closely with an American Stryker unit, A Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment (the JJ). They are at full strength. Their objective is to escape the Krolovets, but they will be helping us defend the woods west of Junction X-Ray until we receive friendly reinforcements. Until further notice, expect them to hold Sideshow Wood and Fist Forest.

We are a Ukrainian mechanized infantry company, mounted in BTR-70s:

Each Platoon has a Platoon HQ team and 3 Rifle Squads mounted in 3 BTR-70s. Each Rifle Squad has ~7 men with hand grenades, AK-74 rifles, RPK light machine guns, an RPG-7 AT weapon and small RPG-22/26 AT weapons.

II. Mission
2 Company deploy soutth east of will defend the area of Roadrunner Wood, Cheetah Forest. We will prevent enemy forces from crossing or moving along our sector MSR Eagle in strength. We will prevent Russian forces from getting a foothold south of our lines. If feasible, I will order a squad or platoon(-) to take Whiskey Wood. We will defend these positions from Russian attack until 3rd Battalion HQ (dtkozl) and/or any commander who may replace himgives us orders to leave them.

it is crucial that we stand our ground. We represent the Western flank of 3rd Battalion's entire defensive effort. If we are broken or driven from our positions, then A Company and 1 Company have exposed left flanks and ASR Tinker (our only viable route to Krolevts will be cut.

This do or die time, gentlemen.

III. Execution
A. Commander's Intent
My intent is to secure the left flank of 3rd Battalion and A Company and prevent enemy units from blocking our ASR Tinker route to Krovelets until we are assigned a new mission.

Our critical vulnerabilities are:
1) massed Russian artillery, which can destroy our forest cover and our units. Keep your eyes open for Russian spotting rounds and redeploy immediately if you take artillery fire.l
2) Russian armor. We have no AT capability beyond our attached T-64 and RPG-7 and RPG-22/26, which only have an effective range of 150m and limited effectiveness against Russian vehicles with Arena active protection systems. and ERA armor. Whenever, possible go for flank AT shots within 100m.

B. Concept of the Operations
Our operations with Company HQ, 1st, 2nd, and 4th Platoons will evolve in 4 Phases.

Phase 1: Movement
ASR Beggar will be very crowded during A Company's and 3rd Battalion's march North during the initial phase of the battle. 3rd Battalion's Oplot and Bulat and A Company have movement priority along ASR Beggar.

Deploy in the V1 and V2 area behind them. Do NOT advance until all of their units have commenced movement. I want a minimum of 10m displacement between vehicles to avoid traffic jams. If we get stuck in a traffic jam, we're vulnerable to Russian CAS and artillery and will will not make it to our terrain objectives in time. DO NOT get jammed.

Watch the terrain video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tpZX9dhnuk&t=124s) to make sure that your movement orders will not get your bogged or jammed with other units at turns or obstacles. Make sure that your movement orders do not conflict or block other units.

Our order of march will be as follows
T-64BV (Bacarruda)
1st Platoon (The Merry Marauder)
Company HQ (Bacarruda)
2nd Platoon (VerdantSquire)
4th Platoon(-) (Weapons) (Bacarruda)
3rd Platoon (Grey Hunter)

Phase 2: Deployment
Make sure that your troops have used the ACQUIRE command to get all the RPGs from your BTR-70s.

Park your BTRs and dismount your infantry. Your BTRs do not stand a chance against heavier Russian units, so keep them in concealed positions.

I'd like each platoon to park roughly in these areas. B5: 1st Platoon (The Merry Marauder). C5: 2nd Platoon (VerdantSquire), C6: 4th Platoon(-)(Weapons) (Bacarruda), C4: 3rd Platoon (Grey Hunter)

Move your men quickly to your initial defensive positions and secure them. Chose fighting positions with good overhead cover and good lines of sight north.
2nd Platoon (VerdantSquire), will secure B7 and C7 in the Cheetah Forest.
1st Platoon (The Merry Marauder), will secure D7 and E8 in the Cheetah Forest and Fist Forest. Make contact with A Company on your right flank and make sure that they are aware of your presence and intentions. If possible, establish radio comms with them and inform Company HQ of their radio freqs.
3rd platoon (Grey Hunter) will remained mounted as a mobile reserve at C4.
4th Platoon(-) (Weapons) (Bacarruda) will secure the indicated positions [NOTE: if these positions do not have suitable LOS north, please move them to ones that do.]
T-64BV: will deploy at C4 and be held in reserve

Phase 3: Consolidation:
If we have not made contract with enemy forces, we will move up to better secure MSR Eagle.
2nd Platoon (VerdantSquire), will secure A10 in the Whiskey Forest and C9 in the Roadrunenr Wood.
1st Platoon (The Merry Marauder) , will secure D10 and E10 in the Roadrunner Wood.
3rd Platoon (Grey Hunter), will be deployed as needed.
4th Platoon(-) (Weapons) (Bacarruda) will await orders from me before moving.
T-64BV (Bacarruda): will await orders from me before moving.

Phase 4: Adjust
With the arrival of 3rd Company and the American's need to depart for Krolevets, we will need to readjust our lines at the 30-45 minute mark. Be prepared to move to positions further South or further East.

--

3rd Platoon (Grey Hunter), plus the attached ATGM team will follow a different course of action. Deploy NE of MSR Trump (around W% or whatever is closest to the edge of the deployment zone). Move down the Bowling Alley at speed, taking advantage of speed and the terrain to avoid enemy long-range fire. Be careful of long-range fire down MSR Trump and from the Polo Grounds.

Dismount behind Ribeye Wood, make sure you have acquired all RPG launchers and RPG-7 rounds. Deploy your men in and behind Ribeye Wood so that they can engage enemy forces moving around the W, N, and NE or Ribeye Wood

Fire Support Plan
We have fire support from 3rd Battalion's 120mm mortars. We will be likely be low on the priority list for fires. Your Platoon HQs and Company HQ can call in artillery fire.

We may also some support from the Americans two 81mm mortar Strykers.

Two AH-64 Apaches are expected in 15 minutes. An F-15E Eagle bomber will arrive in 30 minutes, along with an American FST deploying from the SE or MSR Trump to spot for them.

IV. Administration/Logistics
Medical: Your troops can carry out buddy aid on fallen comrades. This reduces the risk that WIA will bleed out and lets you recover ammo and weapons. Provide aid when possible, but don't take foolish risks.
Supply: No resupply will be coming. You have only what you can carry. Use it wisely.

V. Command and Control
Succession of Command: If I am killed or incapacitated, command will pass to The Merry Marauder--> VerdantSquire

Maintain EMCON. Do not use the radio unless you make contact, spot enemy units, or need fire support. Keep your transmissions short and to the point.

Questions?

Mutiny!?! More like "reinterpreted orders"
Orders for 2 Company HQ, 4th Platoon (Weapons)(-), T-64BV, and 3rd Platoon, 2 Company

Deploy as indicated

T-64BV, Company HQ, and 4th Platoon(-) will wait until A Company has moved out before moving QUICK along the marked route. The T-64BV will lead 2 Company. 2 Company HQ will follow 1st Platoon. 4th Platoon(-) will be at the rear or the company.

Please have them maintain reasonable dispersion from friendly vehicles and follow a path that avoids bogging, sharp turns, or the risk of getting into traffic jams.

All units will get RPGs and RPG ammo, if possible. ATGM teams will acquire extra ATGMs and the MG team will get 2000 extra rounds of 7.62x54R ammo. Units will deploy after dismounting as indicated by moving QUICK on foot along the dotted lines.

Unless someone claims them., 3rd Platoon will follow along behind 4th Platoon and will move to C4 and remain there as a mounted reserve.

--

3rd Platoon(+) will move FAST along the blue arrow. Troops will acquire extra RPGs and RPG ammo before dismounting. Troops will deploy in and behind Ribeye Wood at the dashed lines's endpoints. BTR-70s will be parked out of enemy LOS behind Ribeye facing W and N.
