I thought Sydal was fairly unimpressive in his first few matches back in DG and ROH when he left WWE, but he's definitely been better as of late. Probably just needed to work off the rust, iirc he was doing gently caress all in WWE for years.

he was totally healthy by the end of his wwe run and they wanted to just send him down to developmental to rehab his injury. He really needed to work off ring rust and it shows

When the locker room saw his bare ankle they were horrified at how mangled it was. One of the female wrestlers welled up at the pain he probably is in. I don't think people really know how bad it is.
