That sucks, I was hoping it was something cool about ancient civilizations and sites that are actually real, like the Caral-Supe civilization, the Sea Peoples, or Göbekli Tepe. A coworker recommended it, and he usually has better taste and more sense. Glad I didn't waste my time. Thanks, OP

Bumping to recommend the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=341Lv8JLLV4 Stefan Milo is a great archeology and anthropology youtuber. He does a 2 hour critique of the whole series. Don't need to actively watch the vid, it's pretty much a podcast.

Am I super convinced? No. But the astronomical alignment to dating of features is fairly compelling. In terms of the host being a racist, he goes and talks to people that said the whitey main stream archeologists basically said gently caress off, while he actually listened, so didn’t seem racist to me. Spoiler alert: wasn’t aliens, comets hosed some poo poo up near end of last ice age. OP is wrong, very entertaining watch.

Since then I think others including legitimate archeologists have credibly picked up pieces of his mantel and done it better. Some seem to get stuck in the same way. Randall Carlson re-presented (some other guy came up with the theory nearly 100 years ago) pretty compelling evidence of the undamming a massive lake in the North American glaciers caused the "badlands" that stretch from Montana through Idaho to the coast of Oregon/Washington. And...now Carlson is hocking some new form of energy. Being able to say, "I was wrong" is pretty important to me, and for me, AncientArchitects on YouTube is full of excited ideas that sometimes he backtracks on. I find his theories and ideas on the likes of Gobleki Tepe and the surrounding Turkish sites to be much more convincing than the rut Hancock has remained in.

archeology is constantly finding new evidence that grants better insight into the past, like by definition our perceptions change as our contemporary society grows and changes as well there is no conspiracy to hide, anything, I’m pretty sure if this guy had evidence that challenges perceptions he can like, punish it so professionals can take a look the gov even acknowledged unidentified flying objects recently saying “yeah there’s some weird poo poo on camera sometimes, we don’t know wtf yo” what Im saying is that the space lizards and their ancient war against the hollow earth buttwaesels will one day end us all

One thing that is important to note is that all these super advanced ancient civilization (aliens, Atlantis, Hyperboulia) takes have deep roots in white supremacy and antisemitism. The main belief being that in the beginning there was one perfect, highly advanced society that has devolved over time to our current societies. Of course some societies have devolved less that others white ones, though the more "progressive" theorists might include Indians and Asians and that there is a clandestine cabal of THEM jews working behind the scenes to further devolve humanity from its former perfection. Same goes for Alex Jones types raving about Globalists or the deep state.

I think it's important to recognize that many of these stories have non-white supremacist roots, but they've been appropriated and twisted into such by Theosophist and other occult groups. Dunno - i barely made 2 epsodes before i gave up. If you want to do a search he does a talk with Mike Tyson of all people on his youtube channel. I get the impression Graham cant be around smart people who can poke holes in his theories with ease. Im not knowlegable on pre human civilisation facts enough myself, but this garbage tripped my internal bullshit meter too hard and i couldnt watch anymore. I realise his son is an exec at Netflix - but how is it in their interest to publish this poo poo - just hurts their brand. I will link this guy's channel which i feel does a pretty decent job of debunking this poo poo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=341Lv8JLLV4

I well remember watching a Graham Hancock tv 'documentary' in the 90's, having never heard of him before. And over half an hour going through the following stages. - Well this is interesting - Huh, didn't know that - That sounds odd - That seems really implausible - Oh! This is all bullshit.
