There was a guy with three thick dreadlocks and bare feet who used to to try and drink beer at a bar i worked at. He had a "make raw juice legal" shirt and smelled awful.

I was staying with my uncles in Ireland and they get their milk from another uncle who is a dairy farmer. They store this raw milk in empty supermarket milk bottles. I was eating my muesli and making cups of tea with it and just thought the particular brand of milk was really creamy at first. It's very rich and nice but Ive never sought it out again. My Dad, who's family were also dairy farmers (the uncles are on the other side) almost died as a kid from drinking raw milk from a sick cow. I believe it was brucellosis

you see a giant vat of milk some bubbles rise to the surface, then some more splashing, then an arm, then a face emerges! wet and dripping, covered with delicious un-homogenized fats - "IT'S BLOODY RAW!!!!!", Gordon screams in an unearthly wail, before once again vanishing beneath the surface

reignonyourparade posted:The big thing isn't actually pasteurization, it's homogenization, which is entirely mechanical. ya i've had fresh milk pretty much straight from the cow before (pajarete is an amazing thing), and there is a significant difference; it's way richer & way fattier

Raw milk doesn't mean pure milk, it just means unpasteurized. It could still be 4% homogenized. Depends on what the farmer does. Having milk from a cow though, that contains a ton of fat that is usually taken for butter and such. Of course it's different. It's basically cream and buttermilk together.

Why did chuds think chugging milk a couple years ago would own the libs, anyway? I wonder if we're gonna see a resurgence of that but with raw milk

No, it's not the milk that made all of us who drank it sick at the same time with the same symptoms, it's something else. Not sure what. But something! That's called "Occam's Razor" liberals. Just makes sense.
