When I was young your team was your team and that was it. Nowadays it seems like any kid can just up and change his colors at the drop of a hat based on who wins or whatever cool thing he sees on tv. Now with the queers marrying and socialism I don't know what is happening to this country Rush

Yeah dude we get it, I'm sure all of the current Dallas fans are from Texas too and not a product of the late 80's/90's childhoods that you probably hate because [reasons].

Look, I've been to plenty of games at Lambeau and have been to Packer games at other stadiums - I've told plenty of fans that I am glad they came and have offered many more a beer while sharing some pre-game bullshit at Lambeau and traded jabs at other stadiums. But I've always treated the other team with the respect they deserve, giving your Super Bowl jersey to a team which just got shut out of the Super Bowl in a crushing manner, potentially for the forseeable future, is hosed up.

But that's how you feel and this is a goddamned kid. Not all Packers fans are the same or react with some hive mentality.

Why aren't you just as pissed at the kid for accepting the jersey?

I'm clearly on my own here, so whatever. I just think it's messed up that you'd give someone a jersey that you just crushed as if it were some olive branch. To me it seems like it's an extremely disrespectful thing to do in those circumstances.

You overreacted. You found the one actually nice Seahawks fan who wanted to cheer up a child that he didn't even know and made him a bogeyman.

Most Seahawks fans will spray Green Apple Jones in the kids face and try to ping skittles off his nose while gloating.

Also there isn't anything wrong with being super loyal but don't hold other people to that standard because you'll just be disappointed even with your own fan base.

That;s really wierd that a dude and his son emotionally invested in something enough to be present at great expense are emotional. A really upsetting loss happens that all of the Packers organization and fan base feels - let me just commemorate it with a jersey of our failure! Why is that weird?

Hypothetical: the Cowboys win and some Eagles fan is supposed to just accept a Romo jersey? The Patriots win and some Jets fan is supposed to accept some Brady jersey? The Steelers win and some Ravens/Brown/Bengals fan is supposed to accept a Roethlisberger jersey? The Bears/Lion/Vikings win and the Packers are supposed to accept some Forte/Johnson/Peterson jersey? The 49'ers win and the Seahawks are supposed to accept some Kaepernick jersey?

What the gently caress? I've seen countless posts in this very forum about that NFL store commercial and how hosed up it is for it's utter lack of team loyalty. Then right here, right in front of us is that very thing - and nothing.
yeah what the hell, the packers fan didn't react like a spiteful fuckwit to a well-meant gesture

It was intended as a nice gesture and the Packers family aren't spergy goons and could see it was intended as such and so they were gracious about it. This is how normal people act in society

He's not making their lives difficult. I can just about guarantee not a single reporter he's snubbed has gone on to have a more difficult day because of it. In fact, I'd wager they're perfectly okay with it, because it gives them fodder for a "Lynch won't talk to media" piece.

I think he's being an immature jackass. I'm just saying using "but but but he's making the reporters' jobs harder" as some kind of justification for that stance is silly. Yeah, he should probably talk to the media - but let's not go acting like his refusal to talk to them is causing them any hardship. It isn't.

That commercial wouldn't be anywhere near as funny if it was fans of one successful franchise jumping ship to another successful franchise.

Even better is the "Our daughter met Emmitt Smith, a literal embodiment of the worst trade in NFL history, and now she loves the Cowboys¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

Lest we all forget the Seahawks made it to a Super Bowl in 2006 and some of us have been watching them since Kenny Easley was straight up murdering fuckers and then when Tez was eating entire offensive lines for breakfast.

Personally I think the 12th Man stuff is a bit stupid and yeah there are some bandwagoners but who the gently caress cares? We're the Champions and back in the Super Bowl again, go sit on your thumbs you piece of poo poo Steelers/49ers/Dolphins/Whatevers fans, your teams have bad GMs and worse players.

Also anyone mad at Marshawn for not answering dumb as gently caress questions can get hosed.

There's no point to these questions from journalists other than getting their own quote they can in-line in their story to justify the increasingly less relevant idea that they need to be present at the game to do a good write up.
