First two episodes have been pretty entertaining. Werkroom energy is great. Top 2 for the ball were exquisite, but wtf was that lip sync song choice? Also, Plastique in e1 was robbed. I also would've put Vanjie, but the lip sync winner was correct.

I wasn't a fan of Plastique on her season and haven't followed anything she's done since so from an unbiased POV I can say she easily won both of these challenges. I hate how nice the judges are in their critiques for a non-elimination season, especially one that isn't All Winners. Some of those looks in the ball were awful.

EP 2: Ugh. Again? Ru loves Gottmik and is trying her damnedest to rig the show in her favor! I noticed the camera panned to her face in the dance challenge last episode and in this one, Ru gave a song meant for Mik's aesthetic and STILL she gave low-energy flailing. Plastique deserved the win, esp' for the backbends.

Now that the design challenge is out of the way she has her production desired win hopefully it won't be so weird. Got this bad feeling that they're gonna just pass over Shannel for a lot of things because her outfit was amazing?? But they (Ross, the worst judge for the past I dunno, 10 seasons) had to find a nitpick so she won't be included in top 2.

gottmik seems like she took lipsync lessons and she’s at least serviceable now but honestly I don’t think anyone else on this roster is capable of a lipsync worse than what nina was keeping in the chamber for three episodes

I'm enjoying this AS9 far more than I thought I would when the cast was revealed. Yeah the lipsyncs have been bad, but the other bits have been very enjoyable. I'm very happy to see Gottmeek doing so well, having watched him on No Gorge I just get the impression he's a goofy fashion nerd/party kid, but it's great to see there's actual talent to back that up. It's also weird with Vanessa, as soon as she's on the screen I'm like "oh she's hilarious! Love her!" and as soon as she's off the screen I'm like "she's so annoying! God!" Raven in a porno mustache awakened secret things within me.

its incredibly funny to me that they gave everyone else a "what would your weed edible be called" question and they skipped jorgeous. I'm imagining her losing her mind going "this is the moment I've been waiting for my entire life" I also love that Vangie was just like "yeah I'm gonna do cleopatra, no I'm not gonna learn poo poo about her for it i got this headpiece" and kind of just coasts through on her charisma.

I can't tell if she's secretly smart, and actually did that intentionally, or if she is as dumb as she seems to be, and just happened to get completely lucky and referenced a famous Cleopatra story without realizing it. Anyway, there's nobody to root for this season.

The Lil Poundcake episode is one of the best of all time for the series. So is Float Your Boat and the John Waters episode.
