Propaganda Hour posted:Pixel 2s are really sweet. I thought the "grip to google" feature was a gimmick at first but it's surprisingly useful. Camera is the best on the market, screen is beautiful, I like the size more than the N6, etc. I still haven't seen a Pixel 2XL in the wild. Do you know if the Pixel 2 has the same issue as the Pixel 1 with overheating while doing Daydream poo poo? Yeah, fast 3D rendering is about the most demanding thing you can do with a phone and there's no way to hide the heat that produces.

But I also set Firefox as my default browser since I can use an ad blocker through Firefox without rooting. It's just some stuff for some reason still loads in chrome, which is weird.

Which is pretty cool. I'm absolutely gonna get this, I wanted a reason to replay through the game again

Uncharted Lost Legacy was pretty good. Chloe and Nadine are fantastic protagonists with a lot of chemistry, there are like 10 total fights and maybe 2 of them you can't stealth through, there are a lot of great quiet world building moments, and it focuses on cool exotic locales instead of fighting waves of heavy mooks. I think they finally realized nobody plays Uncharted for the combat because they're super generous with checkpoints even mid-fight. As a singular experience I'd put it at the very top. Like if there was one Uncharted game to play I'd say this is it although they reference all the games with little in-jokes and it takes place directly after Uncharted 4. Macaluso posted:So something I didn't realize in this trailer before: I think instead of simply having the teacher tell Mei what the constellations are, I think we're gonna get to play through those. Which is pretty cool. There were two side stories released a year or more ago. One you were looking at the constellations and telling stories, the other was about some alligator and a witch which I think directly ties into some in-game folklore. Based on the trailer (haven't played the game) they're combining everything together, probably into a single whole experience.

Listening to a podcast about the Witcher 3 made me want to try getting into again. What’s the conventional wisdom regarding the level recommendations for quests? Ignore low level ones, avoid higher level ones?

Do the main story quests until you're underleveled for them, then do the major sidequests until you are leveled up for the main story again. If you run out of sidequests do the Witcher contracts last. Treasure Hunts are the least worth your time imo

Jay Rust posted:Listening to a podcast about the Witcher 3 made me want to try getting into again. story quests in witcher 3 give you massive amounts of xp, side quests give you no xp whatsoever. if you don't want to outlevel quests, and you don't want to use mods, you gotta crank out sidequests before doing story stuff
