finally got my lazy self to the doctor for a checkup, first time in about 4 years. not bad for turnin 40 this year, 198 lbs, 55 bpm heart and 117/65 blood pressure. this means I don’t have to change any of my poor lifestyle habits. hell, this means I could probably smoke and drink a bit more! I basically have to I have unused heath capacity

My father has cancer. His father almost certainly had cancer, although his doctor was sworn to secrecy about what it actually was (so probably rear end cancer or something but we'll never know). I now have an exciting checkmark to add to all my screening forms.

had that epidural steroid injection friday, the doc said it could take up to a week for the full effect to show up, but it's been 5 days and so far it hasn't done anything. this doesn't bode very well
