Freelancing must do alright relative to wrestling for some/most promotions right now. It's just a grind hustling for bookings all the time. I think stardom could do with a handful of additional wrestlers but I'm not sure how keen bushiroad would be until next financial year.

YU-M Entertainment, who manages all the Up Up Girl groups has pretty much had to have UUG (P) in a holding pattern because of Hikari. They haven't been able to move forward with a lot of their promotion for UUG (P) stuff because anything would kind of show what Hikari's status is. Like if you look at the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) site (as well as the UUG eShop), Uta is still in her trainee gear since Hikari is in the picture, even though she has long since debuted as a proper member of the group and as a wrestler. When Shino became a full member, the group pic was changed soon after to reflect her new gear. Even the single of Baby Face (which Hikari is on) didn't get a proper music video. They instead had to go with a "Shino Suzuki Date ver.", as a workaround, which is otherwise weird to put out before (or without) the full group version first.

As a follow-up to what I responded with, the UUG (P) site has already updated their header images to reflect UUG as a 4 person group, with Uta now wearing her idol and ring gear in her pics.  So yeah, looks like management has been waiting to move forward with the group for awhile if they had this ready to go.

I had Marigold on while I was working this morning so was a bit distracted but I’d say it was a good show - it did what a debut show should and introduce everyone while setting up big things down the road. Passion Injection match was as good as ever - Nanae gave Yuzuki a lot which makes sense as she’s clearly the long term ace and while she’s still green (was gassed quite early; I wonder how much not working for two months impacts your stamina even with training) definitely potential; the other undercard singles were good and showed off the potential of everyone (CHIAKI is presenting herself as the rudo of the group; hope that works out); the not-still-AWG offer match was a good showcase although I’m more interested in seeing how they go mixed in with the others - and it’s worth noting that I think the new AWG system ended up capping the level people got to and Kouki hit that a while ago so it might take time for that to change. The only bad match was the tag with Mai Sakurai/Zayda Steel vs Nagisa Nozaki/Myla Grace - Nozaki is someone I’ve never really clicked with in-ring; Mai is a personality more than the in-ring and while she’s much better she still needs to be carried a lot and Steel/Grace are super green (or if not I didn’t see much there) - this was announced as the semi-main and they moved it below the AWG match so I wonder if they saw them in training and changed the card. Stardom always had foreigners that were green or not good; some turned around and got good; others got alright over time and some always stunk so it’ll be interesting to see what happens here - let’s give them time. Main event was great - some are saying MOTYC but I wouldn’t quite. The stuff with Utami and Sareee was great as you’d expect; Sareee and Giulia as well but like the main star out of this was Bozilla who was getting memed a lot (Ulf Herman’s kid who is also jacked to poo poo) but genuinely delivered despite only having 21 matches before this one in a massive spot. There are spots where it’s obvious she is super green (one near the end that people that have seen the match will know; friend at the show also mentioned that she’s not quite fully got the ring positioning stuff) but like with the way this was put together I don’t think that matters in the short term: great at power spots, great presence and it’s clear that she pivoted to working a bit more face when the crowd went for her which is a good instinct - someone to watch for the future. I’ll put it this way; no one in Korakuen probably knew anything about her before that show; at the end she’s possibly the most over person in the building. To try and limit spoilers at the end they do a slightly weird angle with the two singles belts to hype up potential title matches and the biggest pop was Bozilla picking up the World Title belt; loud chants: I can’t currently think of the last time that someone with that level of experience or name value going in got that over: it is remarkable. Let’s see how long it lasts for but if you are Marigold it is an encouraging start.

The future of Marigold is Yuzuki, MIRAI, and BOZILLA Nice little show and pretty much exactly what I was expecting. No surprises, but that's probably for the best for your debut show. Build up to something rather than train your audience to expect surprises right out of the gate. Great production too. The ring announcer wasn't very good, but she's new too.
