Should I be focusing on trying to keep up my Light and keep cranking out 3-light pages, or do the usual affair of keeping a few Wait Up!'s handy? Maybe two Wait Up!'s, two of his zero-cost attack cards, some of the 2-cost draw pages, and the rest as 3 cost's? I have no idea how viable that would be. I think if you try to bring Wait Ups along with his new 0 costs you're going to spend most of your time looking at hands full of nothing but 0 costs. You probably want to copy them and use higher cost light generating cards like Clean Up or his girls' 3 cost to keep yourself in business and just sneak out High-speed Stabs as one-sided attacks or to completely mulch anyone who's staggered. Maybe something like this on Oscar's page? (barely tested, might suck!) With three Clean Ups I was sitting on a lot of light without anything to spend it on.

Fun fact: Charlotte was my first unit to get Justice 4 from the Mirror so she has a special place in my heart. She also is the unit that got the repression boost from the Crumbling armour and I managed to get her to Justice 5 via mirror again. She is a god and I can boost her temperance to 5 via LOB. I wish I could post this in the LP thread, but it spoils the effect of Crumbling Armour and Clouded Monk’s EGO Suit. I guess that’s what optimism is in Lobotomy Corp. Mirror and Heart of Aspiration are my favourite tool abnormalities. You can’t go wrong with them. jimmydalad fucked around with this message at 18:57 on Jun 29, 2020 |

Yeah once you actually know Heart's gimmick it's one of the few tools that just won't kill your entire facility if you grab it at the right time. I just have one of my agents with Laetitia's shotgun grab it before the dawn shows up for the day.

I actually just stick it on one of my super employees that have 5 in every stat at the beginning of the day and then never worry about it. One less thing to worry about melting down is heaven.

Oh hey, a thread finally got made! Back to day 14 myself and have some old friends and new friends already. Highlights include P. Bird and 1.76 as my first two picks, along with Theresia who actually is the extremely perfect for pairing with 1.76 for justice training. Picked up Graves of Cherry Blossoms and Scorched Girl as my new friends, along with Forsaken (for Fort training and breaching) and Skin Prophecy as a new tool. Two duds aside from new gear and Forsaken pretty much makes me happy with my Intel department this run. Open up training, and I get Schadenfreude as my first abnormality AGAIN and I'm okay with that (MOAR JUSTICE!!!). New friends followed with Beauty and Beast (dud, more teth equipment I guess) and Parasite Tree as my first WAW of the playthrough and man, wish I had gotten this rear end in a top hat over Naked Nest. More WAW gear, not the worst gimmick and an actual attachment trainer! Holy poo poo! You Must Be Happy as my tool, now I'm set to start getting past day 20 and see how far I can get. Wish me luck!

I’m aware Theresia has SP regen abilities but I basically refuse to touch mine cause I’ve had 1 too many bad experiences with employees going crazy because I forgot I set them to work on it during a meltdown.

Also, I did some looking and I managed to luck into the only abnormalities that give Pale weapons minus White Knight. I also have a million melee weapons while my best ranged weapons are Laetitia’s and then the Wall Gazer weapon. Also I have chainsaws.

Theresia restores SP to the department while being played, so you use it to ensure the agent working 1.76 doesn’t go crazy. Just have to be out of there before 30 seconds pass, or else...

TeeQueue already answered pretty well, but if you're lucky enough to have 1.76 and Theresia in the same hall way you can situate the agent you want to train with 1.76 in that hallway, and just bounce back and forth between the two. Or if you're feeling spicy, you can send a level 1 agent into 1.76 and have another agent hovering by to use Theresia for a tick or two of SP healing to ensure that they get maximum training without ever having to worry about going crazy. Kind of wish I had Theresia in the same department as Parasite tree, cause then I could give 0 shits who I send in to work that basterd.

Unfortunately for me, Theresia is in the same department as All-Around Helper, Schadenfreude and Judgement Bird, who deal red and pale damage so I’m pretty much poo poo out of luck in that respect . If only I placed it in my training facility with Laetitia, Clouded Monk and Woodsman.

Doesn't the Tree kill The people as they turn into saplings? Speaking of the Tree, did anyone else work out the trick with it and the Red Shoes on their own? Clicking on possessed people to make them stand still I had completely blanked on it being a mechanic at all until I looked it up for the Shoes.

Tylana posted:Doesn't the Tree kill The people as they turn into saplings? Tree only instakills people after it has given its blessing to 5 different individuals (these can be clerks too). Working the tree with someone who already has the blessing does nothing bad to the agent in question and doesn't add a bulb to the tree. 5 blessings aka 5 bulbs = those affected by the blessing turn into saplings. The kicker is if you complete work on 5 other abnormalities without working tree, it automatically summons an unblessed agent/clerk to it for a blessing. As long as you understand this, Parasite Tree can be used to train Temperance, Prudence AND Fortitude. The only thing it can't train is Justice and that's what I've got ol' Schad for. It is an annoying in that you need to balance using it vs other ab's for training purposes but overall not the worst!

I ended up with Theresia in the same hall as CENSORED which was very useful. Also do clerk executions count for Queen of Hatred's gimmick? Can I be the evil that gives her existence meaning? I also have the monk who doesn't like it when clerks die but doesn't mind executions, otherwise I'd feed clerks to the Flesh Lantern once a meltdown. I was more wondering about why Theresia matters for the tree, but I guess if you can send in sufficently weedy agents due to regen that's nice. OOrochi : Only works on when it wants visitors, I think. Not the other bit.

So Purple Noons... I was farming far into the Qliphoth Meltdowns when I got one of those for the first time. Suffice to say that I didn't expect GIANT loving PILLARS to smash down and instantly kill my agents if I didn't move them out in the way on time. That's one way to be forced to reload the day and redo all your farming.

Charlotte continues to be a source of unintentional humour. Isn't she just the most optimistic person you've met? EDIT: So I just finished Day 21 and my first Dusk. Ended up getting Green Dusk which was a doozy. Oh god there are billions of machines. Luckily over half of my facility are rank 5 so it was more a battle of attrition than anything else. I did end up losing a person because I lost patience and they had an EGO suit weak to Red. That suit was also one from an abnormality no longer in my facility so it's now lost forever . Meat Lantern is a dick. My employees are all pretty good at everything so anytime I try and do anything with it, it escapes. It's not that it's hard to take out. It just happens again. And again. And again. At least it let me complete Hod's mission alongside Malkuth's. Also, I was pretty much stuck picking T-04-53 . jimmydalad fucked around with this message at 11:45 on Jun 30, 2020 |

Yeah, -53 is a pain. Do you need to be told how to deal with Violet Noon? And yeah, Meat Lantern is a dick. I got it as my first Central Command pick and had to hire a new person to deal with it. I forget if spears are long enough, too. OTOH, it gives so few boxes you can mostly ignore it. Fun combo to get : Queen of Love and Hatred / Mountain of Smiles.

# ? Jun 30, 2020 12:32 |

I think my favorite combo was the button that ruins everything and the train. When I realized just what that combo did I rewinded and ended up with something inconsequential and the Queen of Hatred.

Tylana posted:Yeah, -53 is a pain. I've dealt with many Violet Noon's. After the first one, which you never forget, they are pretty easy to deal with. For some reason, I keep getting Green or Violet Noons. Meat Lantern was also my first Central Command pick. The day was spent working it, pausing the game to see where it spawned, then sending all my gun units after it. Repeatedly. Every single time I worked it, even with my weakest employee. It was a very, very long day as I wanted to get all its gear in a single day and just be done with the bastard. Clouded Monk, as I've said before, is easy to suppress so long as you have decent red armour, which it kindly provides, while All-Around Helper is not dangerous cause of my gear and Schadenfreude's gimmick makes it pretty trivial to suppress. Thanks to them, I've got Hod's suppression mission complete. While monk is annoying cause of its clerk rights nature, it's probably one of the better WAW's to have for suppressions.
