I’ve been here for almost an hr now and it’s actually kinda neat. I got a small evangelion figure for 7 bucks, maybe they’ll have metal gear solid stuff. People wearing ahegao shirt/sweater: 2 Body pillow carriers:1 It’s kinda a nerdfest but really no different than what you’d expect going into an anime figurine store. People are generally really nice here too. Nowhere near as packed as the situation in the OP yesterday, but there’s still plenty of people. Genuinely enjoying myself here even though I have an understanding of maybe a quarter of the shows/animes here

I honestly think people who wear the sex face clothing must have some sort of brain problem that keeps them from realizing how awful it is to wear it in public. It's like they think real life is Saints' Row and they're the player character, and they can wear any disgusting clothing in public and no one will bug them about it because everyone else is just an NPC.

Anime expo was neat but I think I’m happy I only got a single day pass. I couldn’t imagine going through all this for four days in a row, let alone just two. It felt like Little Tokyo: XL which is just a mile or so away, and there I can get a whole bunch of similar/nearly identical merch without having to spend $80 just to have the privilege to buy it. Todays haul was a $7 evangelion figurine and a $12 manga called Beatstars which seemed really neat just by the cover art and my friends saying that it’s supposedly good. And then a $29 pita wrap with a coke from the extremely expensive food trucks, christ alive. Most of the photos I took were selfies, the rest were of mundane things this thread wouldn’t care about. Also surprisingly there was no general BO smell, but one dude did pass by me absolutely reeking of it and that probably singed my nose hairs. I’d probably make this a yearly thing if the tickets were half of what they were, but I give this event a solid 3 ahegao sweaters out of 5.
