We've been getting some good feedback from the demo, which has been really heartwarming to see! The demo will remain up for the remainder of the month! Just played the demo for a bit. I really dig the art and ambient music. The line art of portraits you've posted in the thread always looked a bit aliased to me, but the lineart of the ingame portraits is smooth. The combat controls are a bit floaty, and I guess the keyboard control layout seems to be very one-handed. I've noticed that I've got some very old muscle memory for such controls, so I've adjusted to it after a minute or two. I desperately need a panic button for menus. ESC doesn't seem to always get me out of menus, just... sometimes? And I always like "yes, i'm a traitor"-options in dialogues.

Yeah the combat still needs work. Haven't found the time to tweak it in a while, and it takes forever to make meaningful changes to how it feels. I'll try to put in some time for the next demo though. Re controls: Yeah, the keyboard kinda blows. It works much better on controller. Though I would recommend playing with arrow keys for movement and Shift/Control/z/x/c/v/space for the rest to make it more of a two-handed thing, if you don't have access to a gamepad. Hmm. ESC should work always, I think. I know there's a bug where the quick menu doesn't react anymore in some cases, which I've been unsuccessful in hunting down so far. Maybe it was that? Glad you've enjoyed the demo overall though!

Yeah that's the one. I think I've fixed the issue now, but since it's been very inconsistent to trigger, I'm not 100% sure still.

Sorry for the general quietness in this thread, we've been extraordinarily busy recently dealing with the feedback from the Steam demo last month, preparing for the upcoming Kickstarter in June, and also handling a ton of admin stuff in the back dealing with the Digital Dragons Accelerator and a publishing offer. Regardless though, the game is coming along and the new demo for the Next Fest in June is mostly complete, just needs some more polish now. We're only now starting full playthrough tests, so no concrete data yet. A good estimate is 6-10 hours, I'd say, depending on how you play.

Okey, got the first playtest in. Without sidequests, it took about 7 hours. Still a very hazy figure, could take a lot longer or shorter depending on how quickly people find their way or how much they spend exploring, etc. We'll get more data in the coming weeks, I'm sure.
