Can't see Sydney missing top 4 now. Home final looks likely too. 2 wins clear of 5th along with a massive percentage gap, and their remaining fixture is pretty cruisy. The top 9 looks set too. Essendon and Collingwood have poor percentage but it currently only matters against each other due to the 2 points received for the draw. Carlton have a tough run coming up. 5 of their next 7 games are against the current top 7: Sydney (away), Port (away), Essendon, Geelong, Giants (away).

Playing against Sam Darcy must be a miserable proposition for a defender. A guy that height who actually jumps for the ball and marks it as high as he does? If the Bulldogs actually learnt how to kick inside 50 then he'd be extremely difficult to stop with out the old "have a player scrag onto him at all times and then have a loose defender come across the front"

Did West Coast sink lower than Richmond now at the worst of their injury toll? Tigers at full-strength probably weren't making finals this year but they've had rotten luck regardless with about a third of their top 22 out of commission plus others.

I think at one point last year WCE were playing guys who weren't fully recovered because there was literally no one else. They were a couple of injuries away from needing to get some fill-ins from the WAFL.

Ah right. I assumed their situation was worse and longer. I do like seeing the Tigers play because there is clear commitment. They don't seem dispassionate. They just don't have the talent now. I think they're due for an upswing in a year or two and doubt they'll return to the doldrums.
