I think the fact that they're getting until 8:37 shows that Turner values AEW to some extent: I've seen shows and minor sports get pre-empted for Baseball pre-game shows before in similar situations to this. We're in the eighth now so unless one of these goes long or it suddenly starts thundering that they'll be fine

During Peak Simpsons the season premiere would often get pre-empted by a football game that went an hour long. Same with the Treehouse of Horrors. I always wondered why they didn't just assume the football game would go an hour over because they ALWAYS did. Later i found out they finally added a scheduled hour long post-show that they could cut into instead.
