Any suggestions for a dog that is super shy on leash and in the house? We adopted an adult lab-ish mutt early March, and while he is super happy to run around in the yard with us ( at modest distance), he is terrified at walking much on the leash where it takes lots of coaxing and pets every few minutes so we don't pull on the leash. In the house, he has a couple of specific places where he is content to stay and appreciates attention there, but he rarely gets up from there inside to even eat and drink. Is this a time and patience thing? Should I get the OTC dog anti anxiety stuff to help?
