The nice thing about big dogs is that you don’t have to worry so much about them eating half a loaf of garlic bread.

He sleeps like this all day on the couch in the basement while I’m working in the other room.

My Dane is 1.7 years old. When the gently caress do they get lazy? This girl never wants to stop!

I love her but when I get home at midnight that’s not play time!

It’s also not playtime at 7am!

My previous Dane chilled out around 4 years.

Current one:

I'll bring her to work and she'll go to her bed and sleep. I come home and it's constant playtime.

That's what I said too!. She was very high energy for a Dane.

Current one might be cute (she is!), but she's also a monster.(Not that I would swap her for anything, but she's still a monster)
She's both smarter and more stubborn than my previous one.

But ya, it was about 2-3 years before we could finally sit at night and watch TV without him wanting to be a crazy nut.

She's certainly got some spice. One wrong move and you're hit with a look of incredible judgement.

We adopted her two months ago today and overall she's made everything very easy on us. She was in rough shape but is getting stronger and fluffier each day, it's been amazing how quickly she bounced back.

How do puppies know.

They'll be looking absolutely ridiculously adorable curled up and fast asleep.

You'll grab your phone to take a picture of the adorableness

And that's when they stand up, move somewhere else and curl up with an adorable "harumph"

big dog and small truck is a pro combo. Especially when they are all tuckered out on the drive home from a nice long hike with two different fetch spots.

Awww, it's the best when they do that. Korra will get very silly and excited and then just plop on my partners lap and it's adorable every time.

Her inner Samoyed is starting to become more prevalent. We hit 3 months December 19th and I feel so blessed by her presence. Every day I look at her and think, goddamn, how did I get so lucky.

She handled the holiday travel beautifully, was such a sweetheart around both of our families and we are even making slow progress on her tolerating the cat (and vise versa, very spicy kitty).

That is a dog who can See the future and knows it holds lots of snacks and petting. Maybe a nap, his powers aren't absolute.
